Bette_Porter: Hmm.. what are you trying to imply Kennard?
Tina_Kennard: That you were scared shitless during the screening?
Bette_Porter: Scared?! Me?! Ha!
Tina_Kennard: Oooh.. someone’s in denial..
Bette_Porter: I’m not in denial..
Tina_Kennard: I heard from a little birdie that you had your eyes closed during the scary parts..
Bette_Porter: Did not!
Tina_Kennard: Did too!
Bette_Porter: I don’t know what you heard, but in my defense, I was merely resting my eyes.
Tina_Kennard: By crying like a baby?
Bette_Porter: I did not cry!
Tina_Kennard: Yes you did! You even said that you wanted to go home.
Bette_Porter: No I didn’t.
Tina_Kennard: Yes you did.
Bette_Porter: Well, I don’t remember saying that.
Tina_Kennard: Alice does.
Bette_Porter: She’s a liar.
Tina_Kennard: Who happens to have a video of it on her phone..

Tina_Kennard: Porter?
Bette_Porter: Fucking Alice.
Bette_Porter: Wait a minute. Speak of the devil.. brb.. she’s calling me..
Tina_Kennard: Okay. Say ‘hi’ to her for me.
Bette_Porter: Sure thing.

“Rich Bitch Hotline, Bette Porter speaking.”
“PORTER!!!!”
Bette grimaced and pulled her cellphone away from her ear. “Fuck Alice!”
“Emergency! Emergency!” Alice’s shrill voice screamed. The girl was in hysterics.
“What happened?” Bette asked, panic gripping her system.
“Lezzie down! Lezzie down!”
“What?!”
“It’s Shane..”
Bette chewed on her nail as she paced the length of her bedroom. She could feel the blood draining from her face. What the heck happened to her friend?
“Shane.. she.. she.. she got..”

Bette_Porter: Dumped!
Tina_Kennard: Huh? What did Alice want?
Bette_Porter: She’s calling for an emergency meeting at Shane’s place. Apparently, hell has frozen over and Shane got dumped by this girl I introduced her to. Remember Carmen?
Tina_Kennard: Shane got dumped? Are you sure it’s not the other way around?
Bette_Porter: I asked that too. And yeah, she got dumped pretty bad.
Tina_Kennard: How bad?
Bette_Porter: Publicly. At The Planet, for all the lesbians in WeHo to see.
Tina_Kennard: Ouch. That’s really bad.
Bette_Porter: I know. Can you believe that? Days after she broke tradition by going out with same girl for more than a week, this happens. I mean, WTF?

god how i love this story, every chapter is like a mini book! i’m not right stoked to read that the next will be the last though, i absolutely love how you write these two…especially bette! my only hope is that you keep them together and that you promise to carry on writing other stories…well????!
What was Tina going to say to Bette on the beach? Will Tina be able to forgive Bette for not saying goodbye? Will Tina catch the next available flight out to Connecticut? I hope so… I can’t wait to see how you wrap everything up, but I’m really going to miss this story. Thanks for the chapter.

WOW!!!!! I just got a chance to read all 37 pages of it-it was a long one…but well worth it. I can understand why Bette went ahead & left-but Tina will be hurt…but I think she will understand. I hope they can work through this & I can’t wait for the next update. Great job.

Hey Alchemy! So glad to have you back with another chapter, but extremely sad that the end is coming. I have loved this story from the beginning as your writing is incredible. I have the feeling Tina had decided to go with Bette, but will maybe stick to their plan now that Bette has left. Bette’s letter had me teary-eyed which is one of the best things about your writing… one minute I’m laughing out loud, the next I’m choked up. Thanks for the post.
