“Can I come with you guys?”
“Yeah.. sure..” Tina answered automatically, not really hearing Bette’s question. She could see her lips moving, but for some reason, she couldn’t seem to hear what she was talking about. Her mind was racing and the sound of her beating heart was drumming in her ears.
“Kennard?”
“Yeah?”
“Is something wrong?”
Tina pulled back just enough to meet Bette’s worried gaze. Shit, was she that obvious? How long had she spaced out? “No, why do you ask?”
“We’ve been dancing for a few minutes now and uh.. you haven’t been stepping on my toes..”
“You want me to step on you?” Tina looked at Bette questioningly.
Bette shrugged, though she never really did enjoy getting her feet stomped on, she found herself missing it tonight. “It was something that made you happy.”
“You think hurting you makes me happy?” Tina asked, slightly taken aback by the information. Was that how Bette saw her?
“I didn’t mean it that way! You just.. seem to find my discomfort amusing. And I’m not holding it against you.” She quickly added the last part when Tina’s face fell.
“I would never hurt you on purpose..” Tina looked at Bette with sad eyes.
“Except when you’re jealous.” Bette pointed out.
“I guess so.” Tina blushed in agreement. She wrapped her arms around Bette’s neck and placed her head on the brunette’s shoulder. Ever so lightly, she tapped Bette’s foot with the tip of her fuck-me pumps. “Happy?” She asked.
Bette laughed – a melodious sound that coaxed a small smile from Tina’s lips. “Very. Do it again.”
Of course, the blonde obliged.
From then on, their dance continued in silence – with an oblivious Bette trying to enjoy the moment and a struggling Tina trying to get a grip on herself.
Its now or never Kennard, she told herself over and over. If she didn’t muster up enough strength to come clean tonight, she feared that she never will. Though it was something that she enjoyed, she had an ulterior motive when she watched the meteor shower the other day. In a way it was like watching shooting stars, and even though technically it was not the same, it was enough for her. She wanted wishes – if only to have something to hold on to and set her anxious soul at ease. And even when she saw dozens that night, she only wished for two things. One, that this would be easier, and two, that they would be happy in the long run.

See… My heart dropped at page 30. I knew something sad was on its way. I really love how you write. So good! Soooo good! But please fix this. It’s too good to end it like how I think it is. Unless you’re doing it like the show which has a chapter 2.

i absolutely love, love love this story and i get frustrated at the length of time between posts but when you post you soooooo make it for it!! The way you write these two (especially Bette) is just brilliant even though its quite obvious Bette is whipped by Tina i’m not sure it’s all gonna go Tinas way this time…can they really be parted long term?!! pps!

Wow, a 33-page update. You’re an awesome writer, Alchemy. The lovebirds’ “unique” reviewing method in the last chapter is awfully funny! :> I’m not familiar with HYD but I have a bad feeling on how this story is gonna end. So Alchemy, if I go down on my knees and beg, would you consider deviating from the probable gloomy ending of that story and give us a happy ending instead? I don’t know how their relationship will survive such distance and painful parting. There’s enough gloom in the real world right now what with the global recession and all the other shit that when I retreat into the fictional world of these young, horny lovebirds, I just want to see them happy, together and in love. Please, please fix this ending, Alchemy. Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing this story and writing these lovely, kilometric updates! And Merry Chrismas to you and your loved ones!!! :>
