    B&T 9 years after season 1: Eli meets the girls

     

    Bette: "Well the only other person is Jack. He’s Alice and Dana’s son."

     

    Eli: "So they did get married?"

     

    Bette: "Did your mom say they would get married?"

     

    Eli: "She said that they’d probably end up together."

     

    Bette: "Well she was right. About a year after your mom left they decided to get married. They had Jack a little over five years ago (making Jack around 5 years old). A few people who won’t be there is Carmen and Anna. Carmen is married to Shane they were dating for awhile before your mom moved, and Anna is their daughter she’ll be turning three in two weeks. Then there’s John who’s dating Kit, he’ll be coming to the barbecue if he can get out of work. So that’s everybody."

     

    Bette pulled into her driveway and looked over to Eli.

     

    Bette: "So are you ready to go inside?"

     

    Eli: "Yeah I’m ready."

     

    Bette: "Okay come on lets go meet everyone. I’ll take your bags in for you."

     

    Eli: "Thanks."

     

    As Bette and Eli were walking up the driveway Bette saw Alice poke her head through the curtain real quick. Bette sighed and turned to Eli.

     

    Bette: "They might be a little eager at first. They’re just excited to meet you."

     

    Eli: "It’s okay, I’m sort of used to it my Aunt Sandy and Uncle Bryce get excited easy."

     

    They both laughed and Bette made a note to ask Tina who all these people were. As they made their way into the house she saw everyone sitting around the livingroom with big smiles on their faces.

     

    Bette: "Hey, have you guys been waiting in here the whole time?"

     

    Alice: "Not the whole time." Alice said as she fidgeted around a bit.

     

    Eli laughed catching everyone’s attention.

     

    Eli: "You’re Alice right?"

     

    Alice: "Yeah how’d you know?"

     

    Eli: "Mom told me a lot about everyone but she has a few pictures everyone." Eli walked over to Alice. "Hi, I’m Eli."

     

    Alice: "Put your hand down. You’ll only be getting hugs around here." Then Alice pulled him into a tight hug.

     

    Dana: "Hey don’t hog him." Eli turned to Dana, then hugged her. "You look so much like your mom." Hearing this made Eli smile.

    3. Dainty is very smart. To put two and two together .Elizabeth Porter and Eli Porter Kennard. Eli reminds me of Bette so knowledgeable and always ready to learn more. He will love Bette the way Tina does forever. He have surrounded with lots of love and a Mom that knows heart ache. I caught the He wasnt a woman and some one else had her love.     4. This story is definitely a winner. I just love it and the way you’re unfolding the different characters. Dialogue is excellent and I do appreciate the longer chapters. I can really get engrossed in it.

    7. This story is awesome! I hope there is nothing wrong with Tina and that her naming Eli after her 1st love, is only because she missed and loves her so much. The story is happy and upbeat and I hope if there is any drama, that its minimal.

    19. well i just read all 10 chapters and i love this story… i am so glad they are nice to each other over the phone and that tina didn’t go crazy when bette started to yell about taking eli back… when she was going to ask bette to keep him for the week… so now when tina comes to visit… i hope she also gets to stay with bette… she has plenty of room… please continue

    24. I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT. Uuummmmm, love the story or couldn’t you tell. This was a fantastic chapter, so happy that everyone got along so well as I knew they would. Just knew that everyone would love Eli and just surround him with lots of love and most of all Bette would love him more, and his mother. Can hardly wait for Tina to get there just possibly the next day. I don’t believe she will wait another 2 or 3 days, if she is not already in California. I hope she will explain that since he was a boy she oculd not name him Elizabeth, so she shortened the name to Eli Porter, makes sense to me. Post again soon, please.
