    B&T 9 years after season 1: Eli meets the girls

     

    Bette: "I know maybe I can ask Kit to do it for me."

     

    Tina: "No take Eli with you."

     

    Bette: "But I thought that he hated going shopping?"

     

    Tina: "Food shopping is okay we go all the time. Plus he’ll get to pick out the food that he likes."

     

    Bette: "Good idea. We’ll go after he gets settled in."

     

    Tina: "Maybe you should wait until tomorrow morning. I’m guessing the girls are going crazy right about now waiting for you to get back."

     

    Bette: "The barbecue."

     

    Tina: "Yeah the barbecue. Why don’t you go help Eli pack."

     

    Bette: "Thank you so much T."

     

    Tina: "Don’t mention it. I’ll talk to you two later tonight"

     

    Both hung up the phone with smiles on their faces. Bette was happy that Eli would be staying with her. She should of known that Tina wouldn’t go back on her word. And Tina was happy that Bette and Eli were already so close in such a short time, and that they’d be spending more time with each other. She also caught the fact that Bette called her T.

     

     

    Bette: "Hey Eli do you need any help packing."

     

    Eli: "No I pretty much have everything ready. Am I going to be able to stay with you?"

     

    Bette: Smiling Bette replied. "Yes. Your wonderful mother has agreed to let you stay at my place for the rest of the week. Don’t worry we’ll have lots of fun."

     

    Eli laughed a little and that made Bette laugh.

     

    Eli: "I know."

     

    He gave her a reassuring smile that calmed Bette considerably. Bette thought it was great that she could take Eli home with her, but she was still a bit worried. About making sure that Eli had a good time, that she’d be able to take proper care of him, that he’d like her as much as she loved him.

     

    Bette: "Yeah we’ll be okay. Now we have to say bye to the Stevensons because we have a barbecue to go to."

     

    After saying bye and thanking the Stevensons Bette and Eli were on their way to the barbecue.

     

     

    Eli: "So who’s going to be there? Moms told me about you and Kit, Shane, Dana, and Alice. But is there going to be anyone else?"

    3. Dainty is very smart. To put two and two together .Elizabeth Porter and Eli Porter Kennard. Eli reminds me of Bette so knowledgeable and always ready to learn more. He will love Bette the way Tina does forever. He have surrounded with lots of love and a Mom that knows heart ache. I caught the He wasnt a woman and some one else had her love.     4. This story is definitely a winner. I just love it and the way you’re unfolding the different characters. Dialogue is excellent and I do appreciate the longer chapters. I can really get engrossed in it.

    7. This story is awesome! I hope there is nothing wrong with Tina and that her naming Eli after her 1st love, is only because she missed and loves her so much. The story is happy and upbeat and I hope if there is any drama, that its minimal.

    19. well i just read all 10 chapters and i love this story… i am so glad they are nice to each other over the phone and that tina didn’t go crazy when bette started to yell about taking eli back… when she was going to ask bette to keep him for the week… so now when tina comes to visit… i hope she also gets to stay with bette… she has plenty of room… please continue

    24. I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT. Uuummmmm, love the story or couldn’t you tell. This was a fantastic chapter, so happy that everyone got along so well as I knew they would. Just knew that everyone would love Eli and just surround him with lots of love and most of all Bette would love him more, and his mother. Can hardly wait for Tina to get there just possibly the next day. I don’t believe she will wait another 2 or 3 days, if she is not already in California. I hope she will explain that since he was a boy she oculd not name him Elizabeth, so she shortened the name to Eli Porter, makes sense to me. Post again soon, please.
