    B&T 9 years after season 1: Eli meets the girls

     

    Bette: "How could you. You said I could get to know Eli. I haven’t had enough time with him-but I’ve spent enough to know that I want to be in his life. Please don’t take him away from me. You said I could show him around…"

     

    At first Tina was blown away by how angry Bette sounded but then she heard the silent pleading in her voice begging for a chance to get to know her son. This was a whole misunderstanding and she needed to stop Bette.

    Tina: "BETTE."

     

    When Tina didn’t hear anything she knew she had Bette’s attention but she had to talk fast before Bette went off again.

     

    Tina: "Eli is not going to San Francisco and he’s not flying back to New York."

     

    Bette: "Then why is he packing."

     

    The sad tone in Bette’s voice made Tina’s heart lurch forward.

     

    Tina: "Oh Bette I am really sorry I know this past day and a half have been a lot to take in, but this time it’s just a misunderstanding."

     

    Bette: "Eli’s staying in LA?"

     

    Tina: "Yes and after talking to Eli we were kind of hoping that he might be able to stay with a certain art gallery owner he seems rather fond of. I know this is kind of sudden and if you can’t I completely understand…"

     

    Bette: "Thank you. Of course he can stay with me." Bette started laughing as she wiped away a few tears. Wow, this is even better than I expected. "So I can really keep him for the week?"

     

    Tina: "Yeah he’s all yours but are you sure."

     

    Bette: "Completely. There’s so much I have to do. What kind of stuff does he like to do at home?"

     

    Tina: "Bette you don’t have to entertain him. He’s packed pretty much everything he’ll need for the rest of the week. If there’s anything else he’ll tell you. Just be yourself and you guys will have a great time. But I’m still going to call him every night, I need my Eli fix too."

     

    Bette: "Can you talk to me after?"

     

    Tina: "Yeah we can talk." Both paused a bit. "You do know that you’ll have to go to the market." Tina said teasing Bette a little over the probable lack of food in her house.

    3. Dainty is very smart. To put two and two together .Elizabeth Porter and Eli Porter Kennard. Eli reminds me of Bette so knowledgeable and always ready to learn more. He will love Bette the way Tina does forever. He have surrounded with lots of love and a Mom that knows heart ache. I caught the He wasnt a woman and some one else had her love.     4. This story is definitely a winner. I just love it and the way you’re unfolding the different characters. Dialogue is excellent and I do appreciate the longer chapters. I can really get engrossed in it.

    7. This story is awesome! I hope there is nothing wrong with Tina and that her naming Eli after her 1st love, is only because she missed and loves her so much. The story is happy and upbeat and I hope if there is any drama, that its minimal.

    19. well i just read all 10 chapters and i love this story… i am so glad they are nice to each other over the phone and that tina didn’t go crazy when bette started to yell about taking eli back… when she was going to ask bette to keep him for the week… so now when tina comes to visit… i hope she also gets to stay with bette… she has plenty of room… please continue

    24. I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT. Uuummmmm, love the story or couldn’t you tell. This was a fantastic chapter, so happy that everyone got along so well as I knew they would. Just knew that everyone would love Eli and just surround him with lots of love and most of all Bette would love him more, and his mother. Can hardly wait for Tina to get there just possibly the next day. I don’t believe she will wait another 2 or 3 days, if she is not already in California. I hope she will explain that since he was a boy she oculd not name him Elizabeth, so she shortened the name to Eli Porter, makes sense to me. Post again soon, please.
