Tina: "Don’t worry about it. But there is a reason why I went into such detail. See he’s Eli’s donor, and I just wanted you to see why I picked him."
Bette: "He sounds like a good choice: smart, good genes, and a good personality. I can see why you picked him. Even if he did go to Princeton."
Tina: "I’m glad you approve. He’s a really great friend, and a good male role model for Eli."
Bette: "Eli said that he’s close to Oliver’s family in Australia."
Tina: "They’re great. They know that Oliver signed away he’s parental rights and they accept that completely. We visit when we can, and they’ve decided to take up the extended family role since my parents are out of the picture. They’re great with him."
Bette: "He sounds really lucky to have all of them. Now what about Nero he sounds suspiciously like a dog."
Tina: "That is correct Nero is Eli’s dog. Has he showed you a picture of Nero?"
Bette: "He told me he didn’t have any pictures."
Tina: "Oh he doesn’t but I’m sure he has a picture of Nero saved on his phone. However since I’m so nice I’ll describe him to you before he shocks you with the picture."
Bette: "God what’s wrong with him."
Tina: "Nero is a beautiful all black great dane. He’s rather larger and the vet informed me that he’s going to get bigger."
Bette: "A great dane. Those dogs are huge. What’s he like."
Tina: "He’s really sweet actually and he’s completely devoted to Eli. The poor guys been moping around the loft ever since he’s left. I usually leave him with Oliver when we go on vacation but I was thinking of bringing him with me."
Bette: "I never told you this but I’ve wanted a dog since I was a kid, but Melvin wouldn’t even entertain the idea."
Tina: "Why didn’t you ever tell me we could have bought a dog for you."
Bette: "I don’t know, I thought about it but I could barely take care of myself and I’m always busy. I didn’t think I could be responsible enough to take care of a dog. I’m going to check out Nero’s picture tomorrow."
Tina: "Oh that reminds me Eli said that the girls were asking about some pictures so I’m going to send down one of our photo albums."
Bette: "That’d be great."
Tina: "Also there’s a possibility that I can fly down sooner, but don’t worry even if I get there early we’ll still work something out so that you can spend time with Eli."
Bette: "Thank you so much Tina. It means so much to me that you’re giving me this time."
Tina: "I should probably let you get to sleep. Eli told me that you’re going to the California Science Center, that should be a lot of fun."
Bette: "I think it will be, I’ll be sure to take plenty of pictures."
Tina: "Thanks I’d appreciate that. It was good talking to you tell the girls I said hello and that I’d see them soon. Maybe tomorrow we can talk more about what we’ve been up to."
Bette: "I’m looking forward to it. Bye."
Tina: "Bye."

Dainty is very smart. To put two and two together .Elizabeth Porter and Eli Porter Kennard. Eli reminds me of Bette so knowledgeable and always ready to learn more. He will love Bette the way Tina does forever. He have surrounded with lots of love and a Mom that knows heart ache. I caught the He wasnt a woman and some one else had her love. Wonder it Bette hear the same thing? thanks,Eli is a amazing child thanks
This story is definitely a winner. I just love it and the way you’re unfolding the different characters. Dialogue is excellent and I do appreciate the longer chapters. I can really get engrossed in it.

As with all great stories there has too be a certain amount of drama. So is it on the cards? Anyway loved this chapter, you’ve captured the essense of all the main characters to perfection. Thanks and post soon.
This story is awesome! I hope there is nothing wrong with Tina and that her naming Eli after her 1st love, is only because she missed and loves her so much. The story is happy and upbeat and I hope if there is any drama, that its minimal.

Maybe I imagined it but wasn’t Oliver as the donor mentioned in one of the first chapters? And I feel dumb I didn’t even noticed that Eli is in the name Elizabeth. DUHHHHHHH lol

Thanks for taking time out to post this chapter. I am getting so excited about Tina coming to LA. I can not wait until Bette and her are face to face. Eli seems to know that both of them are still very much in love with each other. It is going to interesting when Tina explains her naming Eli with Bette’s last name. Post when you can.

well i just read all 10 chapters and i love this story… i am so glad they are nice to each other over the phone and that tina didn’t go crazy when bette started to yell about taking eli back… when she was going to ask bette to keep him for the week… so now when tina comes to visit… i hope she also gets to stay with bette… she has plenty of room… please continue

I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT. Uuummmmm, love the story or couldn’t you tell. This was a fantastic chapter, so happy that everyone got along so well as I knew they would. Just knew that everyone would love Eli and just surround him with lots of love and most of all Bette would love him more, and his mother. Can hardly wait for Tina to get there just possibly the next day. I don’t believe she will wait another 2 or 3 days, if she is not already in California. I hope she will explain that since he was a boy she oculd not name him Elizabeth, so she shortened the name to Eli Porter, makes sense to me. Post again soon, please.
