“She does, Dad. Anyway, she knows she better because the last thing she wants to endure is a stern talking to from you.”
The taxicab pulled up outside. Several more goodbyes and Kelly was on her way to the airport.
She took out her cell phone and called Addie’s cell. Her voicemail kicked in again and Kelly left the message, “I’m on my way home, sweetie. I love you.”
They reached the airport and Kelly got out at the curb. She checked her bag and started to enter the terminal and stopped.
It’s over she thought, it’s time to let it go.
She opened her purse, took out the photocopies of the letter and photo she carried with her to the trial. Then she very methodically ripped them into as many pieces as she could and tossed her past into the nearest trash barrel.
Love Revisited – Part 59
As Bette drove home, thoughts were racing through her mind of the past several months of her life. It was literally a lifetime of events. It seemed they all began and ended with the show Provocations. Candace was a carpenter working on the show which led to her own personal downfall and then losing Tina; Faye Buckley and her group protesting the show which led to their fateful meeting and the debate.
Of course, now in hindsight – that wonderful giver of wisdom – all that she had done wrong had given her enough pain to allow her to somehow reach inside and begin pulling out the real Bette Porter. It brought to the forefront the person Tina had fallen in love with in the beginning. Thankfully, Tina was still there and watching when that person began to emerge.
The ingredients for growth: A good helping of pain from love lost. A fistful of heartbreak. A mighty big dose of reality. Most importantly, a truckload of courage and honesty. It is often hard to find these last two ingredients, which causes the process to take a bit longer. But if found and if all ingredients are sifted together properly, the courage and honesty along with reality will diminish the acrid taste of pain and soften the sour taste of the heartbreak and loss. If one is very lucky, the result is often the sweet delicacy of inner peace.

To have or to have not a new big drama very soon, hmmm ? That is the question !
I think we can already expect the inevitable come back of the contemptuous Brit and the carpenter… Anyway, how could we deny that it’s also a pleasure to have a character to hate in a drama story ? And Helena, above all, is such a prime cut !
In waiting, this domestic moment of happiness was very sweet… It’s so good to enjoy a little break before the new drama wave !

Loves how Bette talks to the baby,then answers for her>Kelly is free,let her live a long happier lifenow. Betty and Tina still has rough road to travel. Helena and Candance will do more to them. thamks

RC…what an amazing post! Faye’s death set both Kelly & Bette free from her destructive path, but Bette & Tina still have a bump in their path – Helena. RC, you truly are quite talented…thank you for sharing. Please continue. I’m quite curious as to who Helena is next to recruit to go after Bette & Tina for her.

The drama’s far from over because the ‘eye’ of that drama hurricane is Helena. Until she stops, it will go on and on. Hopefully she’ll come to realise that BnT are like duct tape….the more you try to rip them apart, the stronger the bond they build.
