Her mother came into her room. “Dad and I will miss you, Kelly. It’s so nice when you have conferences out here and we get to have you home again.”
Kelly didn’t tell her folks about the trial. She didn’t want to upset them. So it’s been ‘conferences’ these past two trips.
“You know I’ll be back again, Mom. Hopefully, Addie will be able to come, too. Where’s Dad?”
“Oh, he’s watching the news on TV. I tell you I think he’s addicted to cable TV.”
“Well, Mom, there’s worse things to be addicted to.”
Kelly carried her bag out to the living room.
“Hey, Dad. I’ll be leaving in a short bit. Come and give your only daughter a hug.”
“Well, that saves the taxpayers some money”
“Who’s saving the taxpayers some money?”
“Oh, some crazy right wing radical that was on trial for something just committed suicide, so the trial was cancelled.”
Kelly started to waver on her feet. She thought she was going to pass out
“Honey, what’s the matter?” Her mother ran over to her and helped her into the chair that, thankfully, was right beside her.
Her father got up and went to his daughter. He knelt down in front of her.
“Kelly, are you okay? You look as if you’ve seen a ghost.”
How could he have known, Kelly thought. It was a ghost. A ghost from her past that just cut the cord freeing those remnants of guilt buried deep in her mind. Momentarily she experienced a sadness sweep through her for having that feeling, but then felt a message through that sadnessFaye was the ghost cutting that cord and setting her free.
“It’s nothing, Mom, Dad. I think I’m just a little run down.”
“Well, you make sure that your good doctor takes care of you,” her mother said.
“She will, Mom.”
Kelly stood up and hugged her mother. Her father enveloped her in his arms. “You tell Addie she better love you as much as we do or I’m going to have to have a stern talk with her,” her father said.
Kelly laughed. Her parents loved Addie. From day one they were supportive of her relationship. They only wanted their child to be happy and to be loved.

To have or to have not a new big drama very soon, hmmm ? That is the question !
I think we can already expect the inevitable come back of the contemptuous Brit and the carpenter… Anyway, how could we deny that it’s also a pleasure to have a character to hate in a drama story ? And Helena, above all, is such a prime cut !
In waiting, this domestic moment of happiness was very sweet… It’s so good to enjoy a little break before the new drama wave !

Loves how Bette talks to the baby,then answers for her>Kelly is free,let her live a long happier lifenow. Betty and Tina still has rough road to travel. Helena and Candance will do more to them. thamks

RC…what an amazing post! Faye’s death set both Kelly & Bette free from her destructive path, but Bette & Tina still have a bump in their path – Helena. RC, you truly are quite talented…thank you for sharing. Please continue. I’m quite curious as to who Helena is next to recruit to go after Bette & Tina for her.

The drama’s far from over because the ‘eye’ of that drama hurricane is Helena. Until she stops, it will go on and on. Hopefully she’ll come to realise that BnT are like duct tape….the more you try to rip them apart, the stronger the bond they build.
