Just The Girl – Chapter Fifty Three (a HYD-inspired fic)

She knew this day would be memorable, she just wasn’t expecting it to be so overwhelming. Feeling her palms getting sweaty in anxiousness, she clenched her fists and slowly breathed in and out. She felt as if her chest was about to explode with the varying feelings of happiness, relief, pride and sadness coursing through her system. For four years, she had wanted nothing more than to graduate high school and leave Redwind Academy and its snobby students behind. But now that she was here, on the verge of parting ways with her elite torture academy, she was gripped unexpectedly by a strong sense of nostalgia. It came as a huge surprise because she thought that she never cared for Redwind to begin with. As far as she was concerned, she hated this place.

But.. during the past few months, something sparked a change within her. And now, she felt her feet growing heavy whenever she thought about walking away from her alma mater. And no, the change wasn’t brought about by the school, or her teachers, and especially not her classmates. Truth be told, it was because of her former enemies turned good friends. It was because of F4. And more specifically, it was because of one Bette Porter.

That was the major thing that she was grateful to this school for, it brought her to Bette. It brought them together.

Thinking about the bossy queen of Redwind Academy pulled her back from her reverie. I wonder if she’s already here, she thought as her eyes swept through the different faces surrounding her. Her girlfriend had slept at the estate so she could drive to school with Melvin, and she hadn’t seen nor talked to her since last night. Tina stood on her tiptoes and craned her neck to study the students in the gold formation, knowing that surnames starting with O and P were in that area. She smiled when she caught sight of a bouncy Alice as she talked to Dana from across the courtyard, the two exchanging silly hand signals. Bette was bound to be near the blonde, after all, there was only one other student separating them in line. But much to her dismay, she couldn’t see Bette or anyone else that resembled her for that matter. Where could she be? Tina frowned, her forehead adorned with worry lines.

    1. See… My heart dropped at page 30. I knew something sad was on its way. I really love how you write. So good! Soooo good! But please fix this. It’s too good to end it like how I think it is. Unless you’re doing it like the show which has a chapter 2.

    2. Oh, no! I feared this might happen, but I trust you to make everything turn out right for our girls. BTW since you left it like that, you can’t keep us waiting long!

    3. i can’t believe tina wants to go to different schools… and could under stand if it was money… but thats not an issue… i some times don’t under stand her… she has to realize bette will not go to yale… ok i trust you to make things right… MERRY CHRISTMAS… to you and your family… PPS

    4. i absolutely love, love love this story and i get frustrated at the length of time between posts but when you post you soooooo make it for it!! The way you write these two (especially Bette) is just brilliant even though its quite obvious Bette is whipped by Tina i’m not sure it’s all gonna go Tinas way this time…can they really be parted long term?!! pps!

    5. Man, I was having withdrawls & it wasn’t pretty…I am so glad that you are back. It was a long chapter & was way wirth the read. very funny & sexy.. I loved F4’S pranks-they were classic. Great job!!!!!

    6. What a power Tina’sgotover Bette? A bit sad at the end. Hope Tina will go with Bette. These two can not be apart. Thank you for the long chapter, you are rock. PPS

    7. Noooo long disyance never works. Suck it up Tina and go to Yale or just let Bette go to USC, it really doesn’t matter where you go to school, it’s how you run with the big boys! PPS

    8. ur gonna split them up. tina is right bette needs to grow and so does she.. distance will only make the heart grow fonder! please don’t let tina hook up with guys:)PPS

    9. Damn, I so saw that coming but still my heart broke a liitle. I am glad Tina is going to give Bette what she needs. I just hope they make it through college still together. I love this Story. Thank you

    10. Wow, a 33-page update. You’re an awesome writer, Alchemy. The lovebirds’ “unique” reviewing method in the last chapter is awfully funny! :> I’m not familiar with HYD but I have a bad feeling on how this story is gonna end. So Alchemy, if I go down on my knees and beg, would you consider deviating from the probable gloomy ending of that story and give us a happy ending instead? I don’t know how their relationship will survive such distance and painful parting. There’s enough gloom in the real world right now what with the global recession and all the other shit that when I retreat into the fictional world of these young, horny lovebirds, I just want to see them happy, together and in love. Please, please fix this ending, Alchemy. Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing this story and writing these lovely, kilometric updates! And Merry Chrismas to you and your loved ones!!! :>
