Just The Girl – Chapter Fifty Four (a HYD-inspired fic)

“I’m sure.” Tina smiled, picturing it inside her mind. A second later a frown washed her smile away. “Wait! I don’t have clothes!”

“I packed enough for the both of us.”

    “So we’ll be sharing?”

    “Yep.”

“Wait! How about underwear? Are we sharing those too?”

    “Probably.”

    “Babe! That’s so unhygienic.”

“Then don’t wear any.” Bette smirked.

Tina swatted her playful girlfriend on the shoulder.

“I’m kidding! I brought a few of yours.”

“Really? Great.” Tina sighed in relief.

“But I hope you’re not looking for comfy ones, cause all I packed for you were lacy G-strings and thongs. None of your granny panties.” Bette slyly winked.

“Why am I not surprised?” Tina chuckled, reaching over to tuck some loose strands behind Bette’s ear.

“Cause you would have done the exact same thing had our roles been reversed?” Bette took hold of Tina’s hand and placed a lingering kiss on her palm.

“Great minds think alike.” The blonde smiled. “So three days in Hawaii, huh?”

    “Three days in paradise.”

    Day One

    “Are you gonna finish that?”

Tina pointed a finger at Bette’s drink.

“Why? Do you want it?” Bette asked, tearing her mouth away from the straw. She laughed at the  look of pure want and longing on the blonde’s face. If only she could say that Tina was looking at her like that and not the coconut in her hands. “Here, you can have it.”

“Thank you babe.” Tina grinned from ear to ear, reaching over to grab the offered drink.

“That’s like your what, sixth coconut?” Bette stretched her limbs as she lay sprawled on the comfy chaise.

“Fifth.” The blonde corrected as she chewed on a mouthful of coconut meat.

“Why is it that you’re allowed to overeat and I’m not?”

“Cause I have an iron stomach and you don’t.” She answered simply.

“Fair enough.” Bette sighed, watching the seagulls as they swooped down unto the clear waters.

With one hand holding her drink in place, Tina grabbed the brochure on the wooden side table and read its contents. She browsed through the different attractions and stopped at a particular page that had caught her attention. “The Garden of the Gods seem nice.” She said a few moments later.

    2. There is so much that could happen, and you say the End is next…will they remain together or fall apart? I can finally read now that the tears have cleared, thanks for the post!!

    3. god how i love this story, every chapter is like a mini book! i’m not right stoked to read that the next will be the last though, i absolutely love how you write these two…especially bette! my only hope is that you keep them together and that you promise to carry on writing other stories…well????!

    4. What was Tina going to say to Bette on the beach? Will Tina be able to forgive Bette for not saying goodbye? Will Tina catch the next available flight out to Connecticut? I hope so… I can’t wait to see how you wrap everything up, but I’m really going to miss this story. Thanks for the chapter.

    5. This has/is an incredible story. I look for it daily and was so glad to see a post today. Please say it isn’t so, Your not ending it are you? Their still young and have slots to go through. A sequel maybe?.

    6. WOW!!!!! I just got a chance to read all 37 pages of it-it was a long one…but well worth it. I can understand why Bette went ahead & left-but Tina will be hurt…but I think she will understand. I hope they can work through this & I can’t wait for the next update. Great job.

    7. *Sniffle* Oh dear, this has got to be the saddest JTG chapter. *Sniffle* So begging on my knees didn’t work. *Sniffle* I don’t know how they’ll ever get to eternity when it’s hard to say they’ll even get to survive the next 24 hours, weeks or months apart. *Sniffle* I hope Tina will still change her mind but if not…then, *Thank you very much* for this lovely, funny, sometimes sexy high school TiBette tale. It’s been a great ride, Alchemy! *Crysmiles like Bette* Okay… I’m gonna go to a corner now and cry my heart out. Boohoo. :(

    8. Hey Alchemy! So glad to have you back with another chapter, but extremely sad that the end is coming. I have loved this story from the beginning as your writing is incredible. I have the feeling Tina had decided to go with Bette, but will maybe stick to their plan now that Bette has left. Bette’s letter had me teary-eyed which is one of the best things about your writing… one minute I’m laughing out loud, the next I’m choked up. Thanks for the post.
