    Author Notes:

    Tina and the girls (minus Bette)eat Chinese . . . head over to Bette’s to cool off. Bette and Tina finally come face to face, what will happen?

    Kit:  “I’ll head over there now, who knows how Bette left the place this morning.  Tina, I will walk with you over to your place, I’d like to see where you live in case I ever need to check in on my new friend.”

    Tina:  “Sure, that would be great.  I am still not completely unpacked and settled, but you are welcome to come on over.”

    Alice:  “We’ll meet you out front.”


    Kit and Tina walk across the grounds of Westwinds to Tina’s apartments.

    Kit:  “Tina, I am sorry if you are feeling a little like a piece of fresh meat around the girls.  It’s just that when new blood comes around, they instinctively move in for the kill.  It’s just the same girls night after night for them here in West Hollywood.  They really are great girls.”

    Tina:  “Kit, thanks for your concern, but I am a big girl and can handle them.  The truth is they really aren’t my type.  I could see us being great friends, but never girlfriends.  Plus, I am still getting over the whole Erica thing and feel like I need to concentrate on my job and just get a little bit more grounded.  You know?”

    Kit:  “You are a smart girl.  I will tell the girls to back off if you want.”

    Tina:  “No, it’s okay.  I can handle them, really.”

    Kit:  “The girls have really great hearts.  When times get tough, they are always there for me and each other.  We have our moments, but in the end we know we will always have a loyal friend.”

    Tina:  “I can see that.  Even through all the bantering back and forth, I can sense the love and respect ya’ll have for one another.  I think that is amazing, especially in this world we are living in.”

    Kit:  “Well, I am relieved that it isn’t bothering you AND that you aren’t interested in them.  You are the kind of woman that my sister Bette needs in her life.  No pressure or anything, but I think the two of you are going to hit it off so well.”

    Tina:  “Kit . . .”

    Kit:  “This sister can hope, can’t she?  Bette need to find a nice girl (winking) kinda like you to settle down with.  Trust me, I am not trying to set you up, I just want my sister and my new friend to find someone special.  You both deserve someone special . . . and, um . . . if you happen to find that in each other, that would be alright with me!”

Hey…I’ve been lurking in the shadows catching up on this story bit by bit, and not commenting (sorry) because I’ve been so pressed for time lately–sooooo many awesome stories to read and sooooo little time *sighs* Anyway… I finally caught up at this post and just couldn’t wait to let you know how much I’ve enjoyed your version of a B & T beginning so far. In fact, I’m totally enamoured with it! You’re writing is so fresh and witty–I was completely hooked from the first chapter! I love the way you’ve brought Kit up more into the forefront and I can’t get enough of the way that you’ve been able to capture the “feel” of being part of a loving group of friends. I’m looking forward to more of your posts–Thanks=)

    22. Not 2 seconds into the story and I am cracking up hysterically at this: Kit: “Ah, baby girl, I’m sorry you had to experience the cold hearted rage of some psycho bitch!….. I cant wait til she discovers she was talking about her own sister….

      I could NEVER imagine Tina being “meat tagged” or like in the grocery store buying some meat.

      Tina: “Kit, thanks for your concern, but I am a big girl and can handle them. The truth is they really aren’t my type…..LMAO @ Dana & Alice falling all over themselves to get to Tina and she aint even interested in them.

      “Hold on Miss Crispy, she’s not interested in you either.”……..Ohhhhhhhh man…I’m dying ova here!!

      BTW….that was dasterdly where you stopped at……post again soon. I loved this chapter a lot; and now that they have *cough* bumped into each other again, I am sure the next chapter is going to be an even bigger riot!
