I’ve Got You Under My Skin – Chapter 5

    Previously . . .

Tina:  “Wow, I really like your sisters house.  She really has an eye for art.  I love this
piece . . . oh, look at that one.  Amazing!  Is that one of her photos?  I love the definition and contrast of the . . .”

Kit:  “Girl . . . I don’t know anything about art.  I got the gift of music and she got the
gift of art.  We are about as opposite as two sisters can be.  I can’t help you with any of
it.  I am sure she would love to give you the grand tour.  I am going to go over and fix her
Chinese food for her.  She should be out anytime.  Feel free to look around.”

Tina:  “Oh, that’s okay, I will let her eat.  Is there a bathroom I can use?”

Kit:  “Sure, down the hall to the left. You can’t miss it.”

Just as Tina comes out of the bathroom, Bette walks out of the bedroom almost repeating this mornings misfortunate events.  Both women stop just before they collide.

    Tina:  “Oh, my God! . . .”

I’ve Got You Under My Skin – Chapter 5

    At Bette’s House

(At the same time)  Tina:  “I am so sorry!”  – Bette:  “*****!  I am so sorry!”

Tina:  “No, no, I am so sorry.  I can’t see a thing when I take my contacts out.  I am blind
    as a bat!”

Bette:  “No, it is my fault for always being in such a hurry.”

After hearing the gang talk about the other, Tina and Bette finally stand face to face.
Bette is immediately taken a back by the radiant blonde standing before her, only inches
away. . .Bette studies her beautiful eyes, her perfect nose, and her soft and
luscious lips.  Unbeknownst to Tina, Bette is drawn into her presence and beauty, as if she has cast a spell upon her heart.  Both still stunned from their little encounter a moment ago, find a moment of awkward silence.  Then almost in total synchronization they both start to laugh.  Neither one realizes that they had indeed met earlier in the morning.

    1. I’ve just done the Eveyln Wood speed reading course catching up with this story. Love it, its so cute and refreshing. You’ve got the two bozos (Alice/Dana) down, and our two girls, hook up coming. I’m with the others, kinda was waiting for them both to realize they had bumped into each other before. Totally looking forward to your next update.

    2. Well that’s good, they got to know each other before jumping to a quick judgement, because of their little accident. Lucky for Bette, that’s for sure. It figures Bette didn’t recognize Tina from their morning run-in. Hope this smoothes things over some, before Tina realizes who Bette is. Great post. More, please.

    3. I really like your story and was excited to see your post tonight (I was just about to log off). I thought their first meeting would happen entirely different and wondered how they would ever get past their disgust for each other to like each other. So, this is an interesting turn although it is hard to believe that Bette did not recognize the farm girl’s voice, but that is infatuation (or love) for you.

Anyway, remember to keep having fun with your writing and we will continue to have fun reading it!

    4. I like that Tina couldn’t see too well and got to know Bette’s heart a little. It’ll probably be a big shock for her when she sees Bette on Wednesday, huh? Hee, hee.

    5. i think bette was more angry than anything to really see who she was yelling at. to her it could have been anyone, something like blind rage. tina would more remember what she looked like. and remember when bette saw kit after she said that she should not have yelled at the woman and that she was already angry.
anyway i love love love this story.

    6. LMAO @ Kit’s Miss Universe comment.

Tina is blind as a fucking bat…this is too funny. This is the first story that I have read in which she cant see. I just look forward to when she finds out the her Monday morning bitch was Bette.

What I dont get is why Bette didnt recognize Tina?

      Post again soon….

    7. i never expected this that tina would not see bette. i know bette would not recognize her because she was so mad she probably could not see straight. cannot wait for tina to see bette. sh*t is goint to hit the fan. lol

    8. I really like your story. The fact that Tina can’t see a thing without her contacts or glasses is sooo funny. I’m glad she got to know Bette alittle without seeing her…maybe once she “sees” her she won’t be too quick to judge her outburst. Can’t wait for the next chapter.

    9. yeah, porTARD why didnt bette recognize her. and tina saw her in the photos at her house. but being blind was slick. cant wait to see if they ever really recognize it was them. if they were in such embarassment (t) and anger (b) maybe they never really lookied. what to see whata you do with this. post soon.

    10. u r nothing but a tease, oh well, i just can’t wait for tina 2 c bette’s face and realize she was the one who so rudely insulted her and called her farm girl, please post soon.
