    B&T 9 years after season 1: Eli meets the girls

    Alice: "Eli hasn’t mentioned anything?"

     

    Bette: "Well when we first meet he asked me if I still loved Tina and if given the chance would I be with her again, but that doesn’t mean that she’s single."

     

    Alice: "What did you say?"

     

    Bette was quiet and was looking down. After a minute she looked back up at them. She started to talk again but her voice was lower.

     

    Bette: "You guys know that I’ve always regretted losing Tina. I’ve never loved anyone as much as I love Tina. You know I’ve tried to move on but do you really think I have a chance with her again?"

     

    Kit: "Bette she named him ‘Eli Porter Kennard’ I don’t think you were the only one that had trouble letting go."

     

    Alice: "She did let me see." Alice took the document away from Kit and Kit gave her a look telling her not to do that again. "Sorry Kit my hands have a mind of their own…I can’t believe I missed that the first time, I must be slipping."

     

    Bette: "You’re not the only one that missed it. I didn’t notice that until I got home. Lucky for me Shane was here to help calm me down."

     

    Alice: "Porter I think there’s definitely a chance for a love connection between you and Tina. You already know that her son likes you."

     

    Shane: "You’ve talked to Tina a few times how have you two been getting along?"

     

    Bette looked over at Eli turned back and smiled.

     

    Bette: "It was a little awkward at first. I couldn’t believe I was actually talking to Tina, but now it feels natural to answer the phone and hear her on the other end. God I always did love her voice, but it’s different now."

     

    Alice: "Why?"

     

    Bette: "Because I’m different. I’m not the same person I was nine years ago and I’m sure Tina’s changed. But even though we’ve been apart for so long I still feel a connection with her…All we talk about is Eli but you guys should have heard me I was a nervous wreck, and she managed to calm me down." Bette started to laugh a little remembering her conversations with Tina. "She’s been so great about letting me spend time with Eli."

    3. Dainty is very smart. To put two and two together .Elizabeth Porter and Eli Porter Kennard. Eli reminds me of Bette so knowledgeable and always ready to learn more. He will love Bette the way Tina does forever. He have surrounded with lots of love and a Mom that knows heart ache. I caught the He wasnt a woman and some one else had her love.     4. This story is definitely a winner. I just love it and the way you’re unfolding the different characters. Dialogue is excellent and I do appreciate the longer chapters. I can really get engrossed in it.

    7. This story is awesome! I hope there is nothing wrong with Tina and that her naming Eli after her 1st love, is only because she missed and loves her so much. The story is happy and upbeat and I hope if there is any drama, that its minimal.

    19. well i just read all 10 chapters and i love this story… i am so glad they are nice to each other over the phone and that tina didn’t go crazy when bette started to yell about taking eli back… when she was going to ask bette to keep him for the week… so now when tina comes to visit… i hope she also gets to stay with bette… she has plenty of room… please continue

    24. I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT. Uuummmmm, love the story or couldn’t you tell. This was a fantastic chapter, so happy that everyone got along so well as I knew they would. Just knew that everyone would love Eli and just surround him with lots of love and most of all Bette would love him more, and his mother. Can hardly wait for Tina to get there just possibly the next day. I don’t believe she will wait another 2 or 3 days, if she is not already in California. I hope she will explain that since he was a boy she oculd not name him Elizabeth, so she shortened the name to Eli Porter, makes sense to me. Post again soon, please.
