    B&T 9 years after season 1: Eli meets the girls

     

    Bette stayed inside waiting for Eli to come back out.

     

    Eli: "Bette."

     

    Bette: "I’m over here. Ready to get in the pool?"

     

    Eli: "Yeah are you going to come in?"

     

    Bette: "Sure in a little bit. Let’s get outside I’m sure Jack’s waiting for you…Hey Eli do you really consider us all family?"

     

    Eli: "Mom thinks of all of you as her family so that makes you my family. Right?"

     

    Bette: "Right. Come on everyone’s waiting for us."

     

    Eli: "Do you think it’s too early to call them my Aunts?"

     

    Bette put her arm over Eli’s shoulder and started to walk him outside.

     

    Bette: "I think they’d like it very much if you did." At this point Eli stopped before stepping outside.

     

    Eli: "What do I call you."

     

    Bette: "What do you mean?" Bette said a little confused by the question, didn’t Tina consider me family?

     

    Eli: "It’s just that whenever we talked about Kit, Alice, Dana, and Shane she said they were my Aunts. But you were always Bette."

     

    After hearing this Bette looked a little sad she wasn’t sure how to take what she just heard and Eli recognized her change in mood.

     

    Eli: "Bette whenever I asked if you were like my Aunt, mom would say that you were a lot more then an Aunt." Hearing this made Bette smile again. "I’m only telling you this so that you won’t take it the wrong way when I call everyone else Aunt and not you…"

     

    Bette: "Then you keep calling me Bette." Bette pulled him into a hug. "Just know that I love you very much and that will never change." They hugged for a little while longer and noticed that they had an audience. "Come on lets go have some fun."

     

    Eli: "Okay."

     

    As Eli was walking to the pool Bette called him back.

     

    Bette: "Hey Eli before you get in maybe you should put on some sunscreen. I have some over by the towels."

     

    Eli: "Right. I almost forgot." Eli started to put on some sunscreen then walked over to Bette. "Bette can you put some on my back, mom usually does it for me."

    3. Dainty is very smart. To put two and two together .Elizabeth Porter and Eli Porter Kennard. Eli reminds me of Bette so knowledgeable and always ready to learn more.     4. This story is definitely a winner. I just love it and the way you’re unfolding the different characters. Dialogue is excellent and I do appreciate the longer chapters. I can really get engrossed in it.

    7. This story is awesome! I hope there is nothing wrong with Tina and that her naming Eli after her 1st love, is only because she missed and loves her so much. The story is happy and upbeat and I hope if there is any drama, that its minimal.

    19. well i just read all 10 chapters and i love this story… i am so glad they are nice to each other over the phone and that tina didn’t go crazy when bette started to yell about taking eli back… when she was going to ask bette to keep him for the week… so now when tina comes to visit… i hope she also gets to stay with bette… she has plenty of room… please continue

    24. I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT. Uuummmmm, love the story or couldn’t you tell. This was a fantastic chapter, so happy that everyone got along so well as I knew they would. Just knew that everyone would love Eli and just surround him with lots of love and most of all Bette would love him more, and his mother. Can hardly wait for Tina to get there just possibly the next day. I don’t believe she will wait another 2 or 3 days, if she is not already in California. I hope she will explain that since he was a boy she oculd not name him Elizabeth, so she shortened the name to Eli Porter, makes sense to me. Post again soon, please.
