They didn’t say anything as Alice drove to the vet’s. Dana just held her hand in silent encouragement, and Alice appreciated the fact that she wasn’t being forced to be chipper about her appointment. The meeting wasn’t bothering her a bit, but the psychologist appointment was making her anxious, although she knew she shouldn’t feel that way.
“Are you sure you’ll be okay afterward? You can call me, my appointment’s not until two and I really doubt my website meeting is going to go very long,” Alice asked as she pulled up to the door of the vet’s office.
“I’ll be fine, Al. Bette’s taking a late lunch and we’re going over there together, Shane’s doing her hair. Besides, I don’t want you worrying about me. If you get done early, go take Helena to lunch or something. Or Tina for that matter,” Dana answered. “Hell, take Ruth. She needs to get out of the studio more.”
“Yeah, you’re right, she does,” Alice agreed as Dana got out and took the cat carrier out of the backseat.
“Okay, I’ll see you later on then. Think about where you want to go for dinner, all right? I love you,” Dana told her, then walked away from the car with Socks’ carrier in her hand. Alice just stared after her, wondering what she’d done to deserve to be so lucky.

She’d been right. The meeting at KCRW took all of half an hour, and even that might have been rounded up a little generously. While the station was happy over the recent growth of the online version of Alice’s project, they just couldn’t fund the upkeep and maintenance for it anymore. That wasn’t a bad thing, they insisted. Alice understood that, and she knew that with its popularity and her sole ownership she stood to make a good income on it were she to sell. Still, she knew less than jack about websites, and knew she’d have to call in some assistance. A KCRW bigwig did say that he’d been in contact with Google, and that they were offering a good price. Alice was hesitant though, and wanted to talk with someone with a little expertise so she wouldn’t get taken advantage of. Deciding to call Max after the meeting was over, Alice headed out to her car lost in thought.

Bravo! I love seeing these two working things out and how much they truly love each other. Plus they get all the support from their best friends. I must say, the whole witnessing someone dying thing has to be the most traumatic experience. You really nailed it in Alice/Tasha conversaton. Your writing is so real. I often can picture the scenes unfold in my head. Thanks again for a wonderful chapter. Will Alice become really successful because of the chart and still drive the mini? Hope so. I am a little apprehensive about Tahsa though. Alice by nature is a caring person. I just hope that her love for Dana will keep her out of trouble. Can’t wait for your next post. btw, it’s water under bridge regarding “on the boards” last night. There is no need for apology. I was not even slightly displeased. Hope today is better for you. Can’t wait for you next post.
As always Muted you make me smile at all of your updates for our Danish. Sorry haven’t posted a comment in a while, but i have read them all and love your writing dearly. It always amazes me how i can see what you write in my mind. it is so much better then the show itself, i might not watch and just read your stuff instead :). ok, i’ll peak, only because of leisha though, keep up with the happy mood:) and the writing!

Once again my Sunday Danish fix, yay! Nice job in getting Tasha into the picture. Actually it’s kinda freakish how well you blend these characters into your story with close to actual storylines/dialogue from the show. I have to say your description of Dana’s eyes toward the end of the chapter just about melted my entire being, thanx!? Seriously, this story makes the actual show look like one big nightmare; I’m with Dana and Alice this has to be the reality…!
Babe you know I heart you and I heart this story, I really liked the was you got Tasha to open up a bit, I’m so loving my version of paws in this. I also loved the NC-17 well you knew I do anyway hehe.
I cannot express the excitement I felt when I saw an update. I haven’t quite had my danish fix besides watching my season 1 and 2 dvds. I’m so estatic about Dana mentioning kids with Alice. Too cute. Hope to see another soon.
