“Nah, that’s okay. I’m almost home anyway. I’m only about a mile from the apartment, at that little hot dog stand you love so much.” Dana stopped and turned around, looking at the stand. “Hey, you wanna come have lunch with me?” she asked on impulse, thinking that it was a perfect day outside and that there was no reason Alice shouldn’t join her.
“Holy shit, you’ll actually eat one? I think I might be going into shock, but yeah, I’ll be there as soon as I can. I don’t want you changing your mind on me,” Alice said with a laugh, heading out to the car as she spoke. Dana was still there when she arrived, sitting at a little table watching kids skateboard by.
“I got you a hotdog,” Dana said without looking up. “With everything except onions. I know you hate them.”
“Hey, I never said I hated them. They just overpower the rest of it, that’s all,” Alice said, walking around the table and kissing her. “Hi.”
“I love you,” Dana answered, pulling Alice back as she tried to walk to her side of the table again. “No, come sit by me.”
“You okay?”
“I’m fine, I just want to sit by you.”
Alice shrugged and dragged her chair around until it was next to Dana’s. She then proceeded to eat her hotdog slowly, savoring it. “Wait, didn’t you eat? Go get one,” Alice said suddenly after a rather large bite. “And don’t make excuses, you walked here from the studio so get over there and buy junk food to ingest. I’ll make sure you work it off later,” Alice said, smiling mischievously.
Dana just smiled. “Sure you will, Al. But fine, I’ll be back in a minute.”
“Can you get me some onion rings?” Alice called after her. Sighing, Dana just kept walking.
Half an hour later, after they’d both eaten their hotdogs and to Alice’s utter delight had split a jumbo order of onion rings, they sat holding hands and watching the kids skating by. “Do you think our kids will skateboard?” Dana asked softly, laying her head on Alice’s shoulder.
“Only if we let Shane watch them too much, I think,” Alice replied, deliriously happy that Dana had brought up a thing like that. Dana just giggled and snuggled into her further.

Bravo! I love seeing these two working things out and how much they truly love each other. Plus they get all the support from their best friends. I must say, the whole witnessing someone dying thing has to be the most traumatic experience. You really nailed it in Alice/Tasha conversaton. Your writing is so real. I often can picture the scenes unfold in my head. Thanks again for a wonderful chapter. Will Alice become really successful because of the chart and still drive the mini? Hope so. I am a little apprehensive about Tahsa though. Alice by nature is a caring person. I just hope that her love for Dana will keep her out of trouble. Can’t wait for your next post. btw, it’s water under bridge regarding “on the boards” last night. There is no need for apology. I was not even slightly displeased. Hope today is better for you. Can’t wait for you next post.
As always Muted you make me smile at all of your updates for our Danish. Sorry haven’t posted a comment in a while, but i have read them all and love your writing dearly. It always amazes me how i can see what you write in my mind. it is so much better then the show itself, i might not watch and just read your stuff instead :). ok, i’ll peak, only because of leisha though, keep up with the happy mood:) and the writing!

Once again my Sunday Danish fix, yay! Nice job in getting Tasha into the picture. Actually it’s kinda freakish how well you blend these characters into your story with close to actual storylines/dialogue from the show. I have to say your description of Dana’s eyes toward the end of the chapter just about melted my entire being, thanx!? Seriously, this story makes the actual show look like one big nightmare; I’m with Dana and Alice this has to be the reality…!
Babe you know I heart you and I heart this story, I really liked the was you got Tasha to open up a bit, I’m so loving my version of paws in this. I also loved the NC-17 well you knew I do anyway hehe.
I cannot express the excitement I felt when I saw an update. I haven’t quite had my danish fix besides watching my season 1 and 2 dvds. I’m so estatic about Dana mentioning kids with Alice. Too cute. Hope to see another soon.
