Trouble in Designer Suits Ch.34
Andy and I had been designated Angie’s room and had shared with Holly who was now helping as I moved round the house depositing water and paracetemol in the places I thought it should be for
the waking adults that would soon have to face the day.
I had checked in with Katie and Angie and they were in Katie’s room with Dylan and Trey watching DVD’s so as not to disturb Shane and Carmen who had not moved since passing out in the lounge last night. And whom I suspected would be less than spritely when they did have to move.
Holly was on my hip and kept laughing at me as I could not seem to stop humming some stupid song about being the one and only that had been played during an hour of cheese that we had all
danced ridiculously to the previous afternoon.
I had to slap my hand over my mouth to contain the laughter as the first very hung-over adult shuffled into
the kitchen. Tina had at least removed the dress I knew she had slept in as none of the women I was about to serve breakfast to had had the ability to undress let alone change last night. She had however not noticed that her vest top was inside out and she was wearing Angie’s Hello kitty pyjama bottoms. Her hair was half in the up do from the day before and half sticking out perpendicular to her head, behind the previous days makeup smeared over her face she was a kind of grey green colour that made me think twice about
offering her anything to ingest.
She did however smirk in response to my barely concealed amusement and begged me for coffee and some toast while mumbling something about knowing better and never drinking again. In fact if
they were to be believed as the smell of coffee and the return of the kids to
the kitchen in search of food roused them all, then they were all going to be T
total from now on I got it from all 4 of them as the kitchen filled and Bette,
Andy, Shane & Carmen finally joined us.
In spite of the pain they were feeling there was none of the usual morning after grumpiness or retreating to
find a quiet place, everyone was more than happy to work trough it in good company while food was shared and coffee poured and a few gallons of water imbibed in a concerted effort to rehydrate. I looked at Andy and stroked her hair as I stood to fetch her more coffee and a plate of toast and peanut butter
hoping she would feel better soon. I was not worried we were not due to leave
on honeymoon until the following morning so she had the day to recover.
