“Have you seen them Rach? All those amazing paintings just sat there hidden away she has talent beyond what I would have ever guessed and that is just from photos”

            “Yeah Bette I have seen them all, over the years. In New York she had an old gallery space, just boarded the front but great studio space for her to work, I would sit and watch sometimes. She would invite me you know I think it was her way of really expressing what she was thinking and feeling. In fact over the last few months as she has found a space and moved them here I see them and knowing more I now understand them better. But you know Bette I think she would not have made it without the outlet she finds in art but she has no real need to show them to anyone but the people she loves. Because only those people will ever really appreciate the stories told in those pictures. You are one of those people Bette you are the
one who can show them and truly tell her story even if the rest of the world is never really going to know. So my advice is have fun but work with her it will open layers of her to you that you haven’t really seen, it is her way of saying to you okay now I trust you with my memories in all ways. She doesn’t mean any
pressure she hopes it will just solidify the bond she feel to you. Because I think you both doubt the other knows but she sees you as her sister Bette blood or not.”

            I
thought it would be the end of the conversation as so much like Andy when faced with emotional truth’s Bette often had no words to reply but today she surprised me.

            “Me to, I mean I have this crazy family of friends whom I love and I am getting on I thought I was set you know but it was like an understanding and acceptance I had never had in a friend and all of a
sudden I did, I fought the term sister in a wish not to harm Kit I suppose but you let her know if I can’t will you I see here as my sister too. Just a shame we can’t talk to each other so well hey but we know and that show it will be the show of my career that much I can tell you.”
