    Author Notes:

    Syrup – good. Sex – better. Carmen – the best. ‘If God tells me this is wrong, then I don’t want to be right.’; ‘If this is a dream, please don’t let me wake up, because being with her, I am complete.’

     

    “Now, have some soup to warm you up.”  She motions us to sit down at the table and serve us some soup.

     

    I smile from the bottom of my heart for the first time in ages.  I missed her cooking.

    Shane’s house

     

    It is still raining heavily outside.  We finally made it back to Shane’s place in the evening, with tons of food from Mum.  I think deep down she likes Shane too, just a bit stubborn to accept her for the time being.  I chuckle.

     

    “What’s so funny?” She smiles sweetly.

     

    “I am just thinking how you could get away with murder with those looks of yours.  My mum still loves you, despite what she said.  Otherwise, she wouldn’t give you so much food to take back.” I say while packing all the containers into the fridge.

     

    “That’s how I get all the girls, including you!”  She laughs, and wraps her arms around me from behind, nuzzling my neck.

     

    “Hey, if you are not helping me, then stop distracting me!”  I giggle, but secretly not wanting her to stop either.

     

    “You are doing such a great job, I think I should let you get on with it.  I am busy.”  I smile, snaking my arms around her body, helping myself to a generous portion of her.

     

    “Don’t start anything you can’t finish!”  She moans.

     

    “Don’t you worry…I have every intention to make you come and scream my name, if that’s what you mean… ” I say naughtily into her ear.

     

    She closes the fridge and turns around to face me. 

     

    “What am I to you now?”  She suddenly asks seriously.

     

    I frown. “What do you mean?”

     

    “Are we going to date first or jump right back into where we left off?”  She asks.

     

    “We could start dating first, and then you can see if we have changed or if we are still compatible…”  I say staring into her eyes.

     

    “But I am hoping that we could skip it… Carmen, would you be my girlfriend? The one and only type.” I find myself very nervous all of a sudden.
