    Bette and Tina talk

    Alice saw the look of disbelief from Tina – what the hell had got into her ? Was being fucked by Henry reducing her brain capacity ?.

    Bette had once told Alice that Tina wasn’t the innocent that she was perceived to be – maybe they had all misjudged the former Tina Kennard-Porter

    “Even Kit ? “

    “Even Kit – only Dana and Kit knew where Bette moved to “

    They fell silent – Tina looked around wondering where Bette was – she wondered if they should at least have a conversation. Maybe they would never see each other again.

    “Where’s Henry ? “

    “Henry ? – he’s coming by later — he had to go back to work “

    Alice knew a lie when she heard one – more likely he was licking his wounds — Tina had looked mad as hell when he had first turned up.

    “Has Helena shown up ? “

    “Yes — she’s talking to Carmen and Angus “

    Alice knew what the blonde really wanted to know – should she give her a little push in the right direction. She had not really had time to talk to Bette – maybe she had found someone else but if there was a slightest chance of them re- finding each other Alice was determined to give them a push.

    “Bette is sitting down in the back — she’s tired “

    Tina blushed at being rumbled by Alice then she smiled. Why had she let Henry bully her- she loved Alice and Shane to pieces – she missed just sitting talking to them – and Dana of course.

    “Is she alright ? “

    “Go and ask her yourself Tina “

    “She could come and talk to me – she was the one who walked out on me “

    Tina regretted her words as soon as they came out of her mouth.

    “Sorry Alice — that was well out of order “

    “Yes it was — I know that she was the one who did wrong – but – hasn’t she suffered enough Tina and haven’t YOU suffered enough as well ?

    “What’s that supposed to mean ? “

    “Tell me ONE way in which Henry is a better person than Bette Porter. The guy has hidden shallows Tina – look at Bette in comparison — yes she’s deep and complex but you once told me that was the thing that most fascinated you about her when the two of you started “

    20. I am with AmandaMG, Tina needs to lean in a gently kiss Bette. With that kiss becoming longer and deeper showing not only all around them that they are in love, but to let Henry know that it is over between him and Tina. No words need to be spoken just actions. Yippee, this is getting good.

    37. Ally, AGain thank you for reposting chapter 4. To have it and the following one was a joy to behold and indugle in. I love the gentleness of this story. The path back to where you belong is often fraught with danger and the inteferences of others even if they are often well-intentioned. It looks like Bette and Tina are ready to reaquaint themselves with each other but Henry may have a thing to say ans do about it but I know that Alice, Kit and Shane will be there to nourish and nuture the budding romance and reunion of two lost souls. Wonderful, wonderful writing. Thank you for all of your marvelous melodrama. Your Loyal Fan.

    39. EXCELLENT and so beautifully done. Now it is time for Alice and her compadraes to spring into action–Mission (and you WILL accept it) to get B&T together in a weeks time by having them spend the maxium amount of time together. I am soooo glad that they both risked it all and really opened up to each other. Alice talk to Tina was PRICELESS. Henry it is all over with the exception of doing the dirty dishes, have some pride about yourself and accept it. Look for someone else to be your “Baby’s mama” LOL.
