    See What a Fool I’ve Been – part 5 and 6

    PART 6

It’s nice to see my friend Shane doing this thing, getting married. It’s nice, really. It makes me feel alive in that terrestrial way I used to know.
I love everyone of these people here. I wish they could feel that I am amongst them, that I am not really gone. That I still exist, even if they can’t see me.
I miss Alice, who’s watching Shane with sweet, sweet eyes.
I miss Shane, who’s right in front of the altar waiting for Carmen. Maybe for the very first time in her life – at least, as far as I know – she doesn’t look cool and relaxed like she usually does. I mean, she is practically motionless and even solemn, in a strange way, but I know for sure that she would like to bump here and there just to ease the tension.
Bette and Tina sit at the opposite corners of the tent, and there’s this guy, Henry. He is a good man, but his relationship with Tina is not going to last.
It’s not my impression. It’s something I know for sure. I know lot of things, now.
Another thing I know is that Shane has made the right decision, staying. I know that Carmen really loves here, that she will be a good wife for her. That she will be a perfect mother for their sons – and they’ll have kids, but I’m not gonna tell you how many. Nuh nuh.
I know that Carmen won’t leave Shane, like many other people did – or would. She will never stop loving her. She will love her until the end of her life, this I can tell you for sure because, you know, it’s already written and I can read everything where I am now and…

    …Oh, there she is.
    Carmen.
” Prison gates won’t open up for me / On these hands and knees I’m crawlin’ / Oh, I reach for you”

My God, how beautiful she is. She is amazing, stunning.
” Well I’m terrified of these four walls / These iron bars can’t hold my soul in / All I need is you”
She’s walking through the aisle with Mercedes, who looks luminous and proud.
Carmen wears a white wedding dress that is the materialization of every girlie-girl’s childish dream.
Shane, on the contrary, wears this wonderful black tuxedo, a white Versace shirt and a thin red tie. She’s classy. And she is beautiful, of course, how can’t she be?
Shane turns to watch her bride and smiles. Her greenish eyes are already full of tears when they pinch Carmen’s.
” Come please I’m callin’ / And oh I scream for you / Hurry I’m fallin’, I’m fallin’”
