    Part 3

    "Hey," Bette whispered between each slow and softly applied kisses,  her hand finding a path under Tina’s top to stroke light circles on her lower back. "You’re here…"
    "Hey," Tina answered with an apologetic smile, "I couldn’t sleep without you, but when I came in here  last night you were already asleep…."
    Tina’s words were met again by Bette’s hungry and insisting lips. When they parted again, Tina resumed.
    "I’m sorry!" she managed to whisper before Bette pressed her lips to hers once again.
    "It’s okay,"  further whispers against her mouth coaxed Tina closer again. "It’s okay… I sleep better with you too, I always have, ever since that night when we were stranded in the jeep.."
    Images from their first safari and the night they had been forced to share on the jeep rooftop, flooded their minds. Both realising how attracted they had been to each other then and how achingly they had danced around it, platonically falling asleep only daring to dream about what it would be like if they became lovers.
    Lips met again in a slightly more urgent way this time.
    "I love you, Bette…" Tina continued breathlessly. 
    The brunette gathered her deftly into her arms and before Tina had time to think she was being flipped over so that her back was now to the back of the sofa. She ignored the pain caused by muscle deliverance and resumed bloodflow, which shot through her back and up her neck.
    "I know you do, honey… and I love you too." Bette replied bringing her attention to Tina’s neck where she began trailing a succession of warm and wet kisses interspersed with playful nips.
    Tina hissed at the pleasurable attention but found it in herself to bring her hand to the vet’s cheek to get her attention.
    "Bette…. baby…, she started, finding it hard at first to concentrate, "Do we need to talk about last night?"
    Bette stilled her movements, levelling with Tina’s face before closing her eyes and resting her forehead on the blonde’s.
    "I’m sorry I was so insensitive to how you felt about those cubs…." Bette started quietly but was quickly sushed by an even more vehemently apologetic Tina.

    13. Great update. Believe it or not google did not give the translation. I found it on MSN. I don’t know what the Mpenzi means but, the rest of it translates to “the laughter of a child brightens the house.” In my comments of last chapter, I said, Tina needs her own babies. This was a fantastic chapter, as all your writings have, this one showed the very depths of their love for each other and what their love could mean for a child in their lives. Loved it. More please! Thanks so much for sharing.

    17. Ah, yes, it is time for Bette and Tina to move into the next phase of their lives, Tina is ready to be a momma… That one was easy to figure out. I love this story and the deep love that these two women share with one another. I love the way you write and this story is one of my favorites. Thank you for creating this sequel.     21. Thanks so much for this chapter. The cubs are absolutely adorable and Tina is so sweet with them.I hope Augustine takes Bette’s advise and slows down a bit so that she doesn’t wear herself out. She’s a wonderful surrogate mother.
