    Part 3

    Bette and Tina were sitting outside on their private deck enjoying the midmorning sunshine before it became too hot to endure.  
    The cubs were there too, enjoying a game of tag around the table legs, bumping clumsily around the two women’s feet and every so often pawing at the seemingly menacing laces of their heavy boots.
    "I was thinking about taking the cubs for a walk…" Tina replied conscious of the evident pent up energy contained in the little fur balls playing about around their feet.
    Bette was about to comment when her train of thoughts was interrupted by the going-ons under the table. The little male cub was busy practising a choke hold on the heel of her shoe. She bent down, effortlessly picking the kitten up to place it on her chest.
    "That is an excellent idea…" Bette acquiesced stroking the little unruly head,  "Anything to tire out this infernal duo is nothing short of an outstanding concept."
    Tina smiled at how gentle Bette was being with the little cat. She thought it great timing to tell her something else about the cubs. She picked up the other kitten who had been calling her brother, having lost sight of him momentarily. 
    "Bette?"  she started quietly.
    "Yes, baby.." Bette replied tearing her eyes away from the little boy who was very much enjoying the ear scratching she was subjecting him to.
    Tina bit her top lip before she carried on. "I have given them names…"
    The blonde braced herself for a telling to, knowing what Bette had always told her, not to get attached if she could at all avoid it, and giving names was completely contradictory to the vet’s teachings.
    Bette was silent for a second and then a broad smile appeared on her face.
    "I wondered when you were going to  tell me," the vet said softly leaning into her wife to kiss her tenderly, "So, what did you choose?"
    "You’re not mad?" Tina asked incredulous.
    "Sweetie, I would never be mad at you," Bette replied taking her wife’s hand her hers, "I have only one goal in life and that’s to make sure you never get hurt.."

    13. Great update. Believe it or not google did not give the translation. I found it on MSN. I don’t know what the Mpenzi means but, the rest of it translates to “the laughter of a child brightens the house.” In my comments of last chapter, I said, Tina needs her own babies. This was a fantastic chapter, as all your writings have, this one showed the very depths of their love for each other and what their love could mean for a child in their lives. Loved it. More please! Thanks so much for sharing.

    17. Ah, yes, it is time for Bette and Tina to move into the next phase of their lives, Tina is ready to be a momma… That one was easy to figure out. I love this story and the deep love that these two women share with one another. I love the way you write and this story is one of my favorites. Thank you for creating this sequel.     21. Thanks so much for this chapter. The cubs are absolutely adorable and Tina is so sweet with them.I hope Augustine takes Bette’s advise and slows down a bit so that she doesn’t wear herself out. She’s a wonderful surrogate mother.
