    Chapter 28, Part 2: Ladies, get in line (Bette and Tina visit the CAC and we meet a few new faces)

     

    Alice decided to change the subject and they continued to walk, while looking for Bette.

     

    “I don’t like that Helena Peabody woman,” Alice said with passion. “Did you see her staring at you? I thought her eyes were gonna pop out of their sockets and she was drooling so hard, we could all swim in it.”

     

    “So…”

     

    “So? Tina, she was practically undressing and fucking you right in Franklin’s office.”

     

    “Alice, I don’t care. I can’t help if somebody finds me attractive. You know where my heart is. Did Bette notice anything?”

     

    “Bette,” Alice smirked, “She wouldn’t notice even if you were fucking some gorgeous hottie right in front of her.”

     

    “I don’t think it’s true, Alice…Bette is not that naïve.”

     

    They stopped as they saw Bette staring at another painting while Franklin was talking to a group of workers.

     

    “Like right now,” Alice remarked, pointing at Bette. “She is so focused on this upcoming ‘Impressions in Winter’ exhibit that she doesn’t see a gorgeous carpenter following her around as if she was the one giving her a grand tour of the gallery.”

     

    “What gorgeous carpenter?”

     

    “Do you see this sweaty woman in denim overalls walking around with a piece of plastic, pretending to work? She is ogling Bette like she is a fillet mignon in a fancy French restaurant and the carpenter looks like she’s been starving for a decade.”

     

    Tina could see that now and she was about to make their presence known when Alice stopped her, “Wait, I think the carpenter is about to speak…let’s see what happens.”

     

    They watched as the attractive woman approached Bette and asked her a question. Bette answered, smiling friendly and they shook hands. Bette began explaining something about the painting she was admiring, gesticulated with her hands excitedly.

     

    Tina could tell that the carpenter wasn’t really listening to Bette but instead was appraising her from head to toe. She was standing dangerously close to Bette, their bodies almost touching and Tina felt her blood boiling.

     

    “See,” Alice said with contentment, “Bette is so oblivious to the others when it comes to art. She can’t even see the drool coming out of that bitch’s mouth.”

    1. Whoa…I missed this last night. I went to bed before you posted, but it was a triffic surprise when I got home from work tonight! So, Bette is going to work…will Tina get her a Social Security Number? You little devil…throwing in Candace. Super update and you know what B&TF, if people aren’t reading this story, it is their loss, because it is a great story. It’s haunting like the movie Somewhere in Time.

And again, I’m really sorry if I haven’t commented on the last few chapters, but I’ve been ourt of town for a couple of weeks and then my internet connection has been down for almost a week… So anyways, let’s just say I’ve only started catching up on my fan fiction reading yesterday. And usual, no matter how many chapters I read in a row, I confess I always want more of this story !! This is how talented you are B&TF !

    4. Maybe Helena and Candace can hook up and leave Bette and Tina alone. Alice is right, both Bette and Tina are hot and anybody in their right mind would find one or both extremely sizzling.

    5. Uh, B$TF [whispering] The last chapter got 4 comments. So 4 is magical,too. Besides, Jennfer Beals luvs you. Nothing else matters !!!! You’ve complicated the plot with Candace and Helena. I guess The Twink and Nadia wouldn’t quite fit the romance. Anyway, I can’t wait for the magical 3 next chapter.
