Chapter 28, Part 3: Love as strong as Death…(Alice have some good news and Bette and Tina talk more)
(Previously) “Thank you and nice to meet you too…Tina and Bette,” Candace replied in a deep sultry voice, smiling at Bette. Then she turned and stared at Tina, conveying a challenge through her dark eyes.
Tina shuddered involuntarily and suddenly the idea of Bette working here became less and less desirable. She looked at Bette who was still checking out one of the paintings, obviously unaware about this little mind war that was going on between the two women beside her.
“Bette,” Tina finally found her voice. “I think we need to find Mr. Franklin to finish the formalities about your employment here.”
“Okay,” Bette replied happily. “It was nice to meet you, Candace. I will see you around.”
Candace smirked with satisfaction at Bette’s words and it took all of Tina’s will power not to slap her across that grinning face. Tina saw Helena coming towards them, swaying her hips seductively as she walked. Tina smiled briefly and pulled Bette by the hand away from the painting and away from the predators.
They went back to Franklin’s office and closed the door while Candace and Helena were left outside, staring after them with lust and desire.

Professor Franklin was still talking to the constructors and Alice said excitedly as they walked in, “Hey Bette, Tina…I forgot to tell you guys. I did some research this morning. If Kit can make her father to acknowledge Bette as his daughter, then she’s eligible for U.S. Citizenship. Here, listen to this. I got it from the ‘department of state’ website.”
Alice took a print out from her purse and read, ‘A child born outside of the United States to an U.S. Citizen father where there is no marriage to the non-American mother is entitled to U.S. Citizenship providing the American citizen father had been physically present in the United States for the period of ten years, at least five years of which were after s/he reached the age of fourteen. The alien mother completes an “Affidavit to establish paternity of child” at this office before a consular officer; and the father provides a written statement acknowledging paternity.’

ah so good!! i love love this story so much and am always happy to see updates! you’re a magical writer with a heart far larger than my little computer screen can hold well done as always
Never boring BT&F…I’m a big fan of this story and look for it every week. You always write a B&TF love story, but you put time, effort and a lot of creativity in designing the story you put them in. I can’t wait for the next update!
Great update! I,too, love this story. It is truly a love story. Those two are just too cute for words. PPVVS
This was very good indeed. I really like this story, B&TF ! You rock ! Oh, and I must confess I once again laughed my a$$ off at the comment about the “slutty carpenter” ! Hahaha ! Keep up th fantastic job, B&TF, you’re doing great.
This is so good. I am glad that they are taking it slow even though it is driving Bette and Tina (and the readers) crazy. Yes please keep the slutty carpenter away from Bette.
perhaps bette should express her fears to tina so tina would understand and not feel confused about how bette really feels…
Hehehe… It’s becoming harder and harder to resist, huh Bette? But I guess it’s a good thing since she really needs to be ready. It will make it even more special and wonderful. I also love Bette’s little shots at humor with Tina, it’s really endearing. And if it’s endearing to me, I can only imagine what it does to Tina, LOL. Anyway, great update B&TF, thanks. PPS!
And by the way, thanks a lot for your reply, I’ll be looking forward to every chapter of this wonderful ride you’ve taken us on. K ;)
Another wonderful chapter. I love the exposition–hunting for the clues, wondering which are red herrings, the layered presentation of Bette and Tina’s feekings for each other and Bette’s conflicting interactions with the world. The layering adds great depth and complexity and mske your story so very very good.
