Masked Feelings CH 98 Questionable Tension

    Alice smacks her.

    Alice – You’re an ass.

Dana – I was just kidding, baby. I would never throw you to the wolves. You’re mine.

Alice – Nice save, but what would you really do?

Dana – I don’t know. Maybe hit him with something out of my bag?

Roxy crawled under the covers after she finally heard the water running. She was cursing herself for even saying anything to Erika. It was understandable how she would defend her brother. Why did she get mad at her for saying something about herself, especially when it was true? She wished that Erika hadn’t have forced her to come along. This was such a monumental bad idea and was going to ruin everyone’s weekend.

Maybe if she pretended to be asleep, Erika wouldn’t say anything to her and just leave without a word. A time went by after the water stopped running, but eventually she came out. She was turned on her side, away from the bathroom door, but very much awake. Roxy could hear her making all sorts of noise, but unable to know what she was doing. Why couldn’t she just leave now? It wasn’t like she was purposely being noisy, but she could do whatever she was doing somewhere else.

Erika moved the covers back on the opposite side.

    Erika – Move over.

This was something she wasn’t expecting.

    Roxy – Huh?

Erika – Move over. I’m not going to let you hog all the bed.

Roxy – I thought you were sleeping somewhere else.

Erika – Why shouldn’t I sleep in my own bed?

Roxy – I’m sorry. Am I supposed to be sleeping somewhere else?

Erika – No. There’s enough room for the both of us. Do you have a problem with it?

In truth, Roxy really did have a problem with this, but it was hard to know why exactly.

    Erika – Well?

    Roxy – No, its fine.

Erika – I hope you don’t do anything weird in your sleep. Do you talk in your sleep or snore?

Roxy – I don’t know. How would I know that?

Erika – Nobody has ever told you?

    Roxy – No.

Erika – Do you sleep walk?

Roxy – Again.. I don’t know. What is with the interrogation?

    1. So glad to see you back, brteyes!! How bad do I suck? I can’t believe I missed out on commenting on a post from you. My sincere apologies… Goose needs to be better at checking the site more often. That chapter was great as was this one. I don’t think you have missed a beat with your absence. I loved both updates. I think you are actually improving — the story lines are all advancing nicely. I love the “calm before the storm” moments with Dana and Alice. The mirror thing and the crash at the end are mighty creepy, though. I really find myself intrigued with the Roxy back story. It might be my favorite storyline at the moment. The stuff with Marco is also interesting — the way you are twining his desires with those of his family. It really is so great to get more of this story. I plan to keep reading as long as you keep posting. Thanks!!
