Masked Feelings CH 98 Questionable Tension

Marco – You have to know you’re never an intrusion. Besides the fact, She can’t hear me anyway.

Rosalie – I’m sure she’s listening to you.

Marco – There is no way of knowing that.

Rosalie – I guess that’s my opinion, but how many times have I been wrong?

    Marco – I won’t answer that one.

    Rosalie – My smart boy…

She runs her hand through his thick black hair.

Rosalie – Looks like someone needs a hair cut. Remember when I used to cut your hair?

Marco – Oh my god, ma. You are not cutting my hair. It was a disaster. You’d cut a little. Then it wouldn’t look right, so you’d cut a little more. I was lucky to have any hair when you were done.

She smacked him on the head. Marco laughed.

Rosalie – I’m so happy you’re home, ungrateful little brat.

    Marco – Who’s little?

He stood a foot taller than his mother, but she had already seen how much he had already grown. Marco had also grown in so many other ways as well.

Marco looked up at his mother from the chair.

Marco – I’m glad to be home. I’ve missed you more than I realized.

Rosalie – Please tell me that you’ll be staying.

Marco – I guess that remains to be seen. I do have a life in Italy.

Rosalie – You may have a life there, but I think your heart is somewhere else.

    Marco – Ma…

Rosalie – Just remember how often I’m wrong.

She left the room, leaving Marco to contemplate her words. What did she know that he didn’t?

Dana – Please leave and I promise that I’ll clean up the mess myself.

Janitor – I hate to ask, but why are you hiding in a pile of paper?

Dana – Yeah.. It’s better when you don’t ask.

Janitor – Come on, get up.

    Dana – I can’t. I’m not exactly decent.

    Dana was blushing.

Dana – I’ll pay you, if you just leave now.

Janitor – That won’t be necessary, but I do want something.

Dana was scared to ask. She sure as hell wasn’t going to give the guy a free show… or worse.

Janitor – I would love tickets for your next appearance.

    1. So glad to see you back, brteyes!! How bad do I suck? I can’t believe I missed out on commenting on a post from you. My sincere apologies… Goose needs to be better at checking the site more often. That chapter was great as was this one. I don’t think you have missed a beat with your absence. I loved both updates. I think you are actually improving — the story lines are all advancing nicely. I love the “calm before the storm” moments with Dana and Alice. The mirror thing and the crash at the end are mighty creepy, though. I really find myself intrigued with the Roxy back story. It might be my favorite storyline at the moment. The stuff with Marco is also interesting — the way you are twining his desires with those of his family. It really is so great to get more of this story. I plan to keep reading as long as you keep posting. Thanks!!
