Masked Feelings CH 98 Questionable Tension

Marco – Why the change of heart? This isn’t like you… not the real you.

Bobby – You are my son and family is the most important. Maybe I haven’t proved that to you, but after what happened to Tony, I know I haven’t done the best for any of us.

Marco – Not sure what all this is supposed to mean.

Bobby – I’m ready to work it all out… together… when you are ready, of course.

Marco – I’ll let you know.

    Bobby – Are you hungry?

    Marco – I’ll grab something later. I need to…

Bobby – Yeah, you should see her.

Marco ran up the stairs to the room. She was stretched out on a hospital bed, with every possible convenience surrounding her. There were machines everywhere and even a private nurse. She was taking her vitals when Marco walked in. When she was done, she closed the door behind her and sat in a chair by the door. Marco took the chair by the bed and sat down next to her. He took her fragile hand and stroked it. He stared into her face, almost begging for her to open her eyes. Marco needed to see those beautiful blue eyes again.

Sheila entered the elevator with her colleague, Jim.

Sheila – Oh my God, what the hell happened in here?

Jim – Beats the hell out of me. Who cares anyway? It’s just the service elevator.

Sheila – Some one needs to clean this mess up.

Jim – I ain’t the janitor. Now let’s get back to what we were talking about….

Sheila – Ever think that your language is holding you back?

Jim – It’s not a matter of what, but who’s holding me back. Our boss just had to hire that woman… what the fuck is her name again?

Sheila – Her name is Alice.

    Jim – What ever…She won’t last…

Alice wanted to jump out of the pile and strangle him. It was next to impossible to stay still. Dana held her hand the whole time they talked and until they finally left the elevator. Once they were gone, both women were frantically searching for their clothes. Piece by piece, they gathered their clothes. Dana pulled a sheet out of her bag and wrapped it around Alice.

    1. So glad to see you back, brteyes!! How bad do I suck? I can’t believe I missed out on commenting on a post from you. My sincere apologies… Goose needs to be better at checking the site more often. That chapter was great as was this one. I don’t think you have missed a beat with your absence. I loved both updates. I think you are actually improving — the story lines are all advancing nicely. I love the “calm before the storm” moments with Dana and Alice. The mirror thing and the crash at the end are mighty creepy, though. I really find myself intrigued with the Roxy back story. It might be my favorite storyline at the moment. The stuff with Marco is also interesting — the way you are twining his desires with those of his family. It really is so great to get more of this story. I plan to keep reading as long as you keep posting. Thanks!!
