    scary stories, camp fires, and bear spray…and very little misbehaving…too bad, so sad

     

    “Good. Done. Now we go. Or…” Bette looked around, then raised her eyebrows suggestively.

     

    “We should get back…” Helena laughed. Bette unlocked the backdoor of the car, and threw herself inside.

     

    “Come on…”

     

    “Oh for goodness…” Helena climbed in after her, closing the door. “Your windows aren’t tinted, and there’s no room.”

     

    “Just a cuddle.” Bette said, wiggling happily against the backseat until Helena had room to lie with her. She had to actually lie underneath Helena, a maneuver she did not mind in the slightest.  “Wait…” She unzipped their bulky jackets, much to Helena’s amusement, and they pressed close together.

     

    Helena sighed happily, laying her cheek against Bette’s breastbone. “This is surprisingly comfortable.” She mumbled. “hmmmm…you know, speaking of our first night together…I miss that house.”

     

    “yeah, it was a good one.” Bette faked a scowl, looking down at Helena’s profile against her. “even though you chose it just to spite me.”

     

    “I didn’t know I was doing it for that reason…I just thought Tina would like it since it was something you liked…sorry…” Helena turned bright red and kept her head down.

     

    “S’ok.” Bette murmured against her hair.

     

    Helena’s mouth pressed to the pulse in Bette’s neck. “I love you.” She whispered. “So very much…”

     

    “I love you to baby.” Bette met her lips with a kiss and a promise.  She could feel Helena relaxing, and she promised herself that she would do everything in her power to give her that sense of security for a long long time.

     

    They arrived back at the campsite with two canisters of bear spray.  The stuff was kind of like pepper spray, and would act as a deterrent should a bear decided to attack any of them.  Chances were slim to none of that happening, but Bette went along with the plan for Helena’s sake.

     

    “What are you freaks doing?” Bette asked.

     

    Upon arriving at the cabins, they found Alice sitting up a tree, and Shane up in another.  They were stringing rope between two thick branches.  Wilson and Jun Ying were looking up curiously.

     

    “Ummm….” Max spoke cautiously, not wanting to bother anybody. “that won’t hold if you’re thinking of swinging between the ropes.” Wilson nodded in agreement.

    1. OK, so that move to London bit was out of left field and they might have to see if they can buy werewolf repellent if they go. And if we didn’t get much sex out of that, there were quite a few laughs, hard to say which is better in the long run. Loved Kit perturbed by a normal Jenny, which is of course stunning. Liked Tina’s story, too. But as attractive as a move to London might be, I really think Helena needs to face the music over here before she goes.

    2. okay…so what’s up with the moving to london??? hmmm…can’t wait to see how that goes…anyways, i love the bonding the women had with each other even with Jenny’s crazy ass. I can’t wait for the new chapter! Thanks and PPS!

    3. Loved loved loved tina’s story…see this is the tina i like…simple, no craziness, no fickle-ness…good, granola tina…so to london, it is? I say Helena has to get her life together before she takes a leap across the pond.

    4. I am NOT a Tibetter but a LITTLE part of me wanted to see bette with tina in this chapter =O how crazy is that? I mean I LOVE B and H together but I like Tina in your fic :confused: hehe this chapter was great!!! PPS!

    5. I too love the bonding of these core characters (thanks for nothing, IC), and sympathetic Tina as well. I’m guessing normal Jenny is a temporary aberration.
