“So, not a mistake?”
“Absolutely not,” Beth replied. She found Shane’s anxiety comforting and her own dissipating just a touch.
“Gees,” Tina said as she closed the door behind Helena and Lara. “I’m glad you called Lara. At least she put Helena at ease a little bit.”
“Helena was embarrassed,” Bette said as she began turning off the lights. “She really doesn’t like to lose her self control.”
Tina was tempted to tease Bette about her own control issues, but thought better of it. She looked up to find Bette smiling at her broadly.
“Babe?”
“I can only imagine the number of comments that were flooding your brain right now,” Bette chuckled. “And I want to congratulate you on the restraint it took not to say them.”
They both cracked up and Tina stepped into Bette’s waiting arms to kiss her.
“Thank you.” She kissed Bette again, this time with purpose. “If Helena is true to form, I think we can expect something outrageously expensive to arrive tomorrow with a thoughtful note.”
“The best way to recover is to overcompensate,” Bette whispered, tugging Tina’s earlobe gently with her teeth.
A shudder rumbled straight through to Tina’s toes. She turned her head into Bette’s elegant neck and gently traced it’s length, stopping to savor the reaction she got when she nuzzled the hollow at the collarbone.
“I thought you wanted to talk to me about Nadia,” she said, even as she began to unbutton Bette’s blouse with tantalizing deliberation.
“And I thought you wanted to go over the nanny applications,” Bette tried unsuccessfully to keep the quiver out of her voice,
She backed Tina towards the stairs, stripping her navy shell and matching bra in one easy move. Tina’s nipples sprang to attention. She abandoned Bette’s now open blouse and began unbuttoning her own jeans. She sat on a step and lifted her leg to Bette, who first pulled off her shoes and tossed them over her shoulder with an arched brow. Tina was a vision, naked from the waist up and obviously too aroused to try to make it to their bedroom. Bette soaked though her own underwear as she methodically removed Tina’s jeans and panties. Tina’s disappointed groan quickly turned to a lustful moan when Bette stepped back and to take off her clothes.

hiya SG! In total agreement with everyone else on how great your total storyline development is clicking along! I was hungry for a double cheeseburger after reading your update–am looking forward to more Shane and Beth–this is a twist on Shane that I quite like. Overall, the sense of true friendship comes from your writing- and that makes it way too easy to get invested in your stories! Good stuff…and thanks for the update!
Crap, Helena’s insecurities have come to play. I hope Lara and Helena can work things out. I adore Alice and Dana, they are just SOOOOO cute!
I was just about to shut down the computer and go to bed when I thought I give the site one last check, and I’m so glad I did. I know I’m saying this for the millionth time, but you really do get better every single time you post. It’s amazing to me how you can get me so invested in every single storyline. I doubt there’s ever been a movie, show, book, or anything else that’s managed to do that. This was an excellent update, and it really laid the groundwork for a lot of things to come. Can’t wait to see how everything plays out.
First let me second and third everything MT said in her comments. I am a Danish shipper, but, I find myself invested in all the relationships in your stories. I love the tentative steps that Shane and Beth are taking. So sweet. Helena and Lara are in trouble. I think they need to talk more than they need to have sex. I hope they can get it together since they seem like they are good for each other. Bette and Tina seem to be OK. For now. Stupid TAs. I just adore how you write Alice and Dana. The love, lust, support, respect, joy, etc, etc… is wonderful to read. Talking to the baby is so cute. I can’t wait to see what the plan is for the tabloids. I’m glad Dana is so calm about it — she doesn’t need the stress right now. I’m worried about Alice going back to that hotel. At least Dana will be there with her. I caught up! YAY I read this one aloud too and I have to say it makes my ears hot lol. Awesome update mama I wasn’t expecting the Shane Helena Lara triangle Shane is going to be really fucking surprised to learn she’s in a love triangle eh? I also have to comment on the toothpaste because its so beyond disturbing but the perfect kind of throw away that we are so accustomed to. No Danish sex :( sad face because you know how I love the hot hot heated sexy time they bring or you bring I’m not sure which but yeah I need a lot of that next chapter. I did however enjoy the end scene with Dave and the baby its good that they’re getting aquatinted ahead of time also its beyond adorable. I can’t wait for the next chapter but I hope you won’t make me wait too long (that means I want a snippet) love you mama b! Post Soon!
