Just The Girl: Chapter Forty Five (a HYD-inspired fic)

“Hey Al,” Shane gently elbowed the blonde beside her, interrupting the girl’s thoughts. “What the heck is that?” She pointed to the peculiar looking object sticking out of the blonde’s pocket.

“Oh! I totally forgot I had these.” Alice exclaimed, pulling them out from her pocket. She turned to her friend and proceeded to talk to Shane as if she was talking to a four year old kid, exaggerating a few words and speaking slowly. “Shaney, these are safety goggles. Gog-gles. Big people use them to protect their eyes when they’re doing dangerous work.” She pointed out in an effort to annoy and poke a little fun at the thin one. “Gog-gles.” She repeated.

“I know what goggles are you smart ass.” Shane huffed, rolling her eyes at Alice. “I’ve just never seen a pink one before. I didn’t even know they sell one in that color.”

    “They don’t.” Alice grinned smugly.

“Thank God.” Shane retorted under her breath.

Alice ignored her and carried on. “These babies were custom made for little old me. I wanted something to match with my outfit. It’s even personalized.” She pointed to the small diamonds that formed the letter A at the frame of her neon pink goggles. “Neat, huh?” She wiggled her brows.

“Whatever, Al.” Shane replied dryly, suddenly regretting having brought up the topic in the first place. She could sense an in depth monologue about the ugly pink goggles coming her way so she cleared her throat and made a preemptive move. “Um.. you know, we should start doing something productive instead of just standing around in here like fools. Why don’t we start mixing the paint?” She suggested, silently begging her friend to take the bait.

To Shane’s relief, Alice did. The blonde walked towards the cans at the side of the room and pursed her lips together. “Okaaay, I’ll pour the white paint inside the blue cans and you do all the mixing. I won’t put too much so we could get that powdery blue color that Porter wanted.” She put on her goggles and readjusted her mask, prepping herself for the task.

“Yeah.. great..” Shane answered distractedly as her phone started vibrating inside her pocket. “Just a minute.” She lifted a finger as she read the screen and saw the identity of her caller. Before accepting the call, she glanced briefly to her right and checked if the bedroom door was still closed. Seeing that it was, she pressed the green button. “Hey baby..” She purred into the receiver as she stepped away from Alice to chat with her newest conquest.

    1. ROFLMAO! Totally hilarious from start to finish, Alchemy! BRAVA! Loved scary-alpha-horny Tina who couldn’t wait to get properly laid again and her mostly alpha but sometimes henpecked girlfriend Bette who’d do anything to please her. “They’re just painting. What could they possibly do wrong except spill a few drops of paint?” => Miscalculation of the year! Shane and Alice do make such a great comedic tandem. “Diarrhea green and phlegm green” => Yuckiness to the nth power! Huge thanks for this rib-tickling update, Alchemy! :) And happy birthday! You’re one talented writer and witty lady and you’re just 22! May all your dreams come true. :)

    4. LOL, Bette poking her dirty fingers in Al and Shane’s mouths as revenge is better than getting their heads shaved, or worse! Hopefully they’ll get it repainted… Such a fun chapter Alchemy, thanks for posting. cheers!
