    CHAPTER FORTY SIX: Welcome Home

     

    Complete and utter chaos. Perfect words to describe the events that had transpired after that fateful Saturday afternoon when Alice and Shane decided to paint Bette’s walls green. Just to be clear, Bette had no qualms about green; she liked the color, adored it even, but the shade that her two goofball friends created? Simply unacceptable and hardly easy on the eyes. Apple green she could take, but Swamp green or Horseshit green? Absolutely not. Luckily for her, she didn’t have to settle for that nasty color to save funds; a guilty Alice insisted on hiring professionals to repaint the whole place, promising to foot the bill and pay for additional expenses too. And for a moment, all was well again – Bette was placated and her anger faded into oblivion, that is, until she realized what repainting the walls implicated. The mess her friends created derailed control freak Bette’s painfully laid out plans and threw her structured time frame on a loop. Everything had to be pushed back another day – cleaning, refurbishing and God forbid, even the sleepover. Instead of finishing the renovations on Sunday as originally scheduled, the whole thing dragged on until Monday afternoon – inadvertently extending the whole process until Tuesday. She couldn’t put the newly purchased furnitures in place until the whole place was cleaned and devoid of dust and construction debris. Specifically and more importantly, she couldn’t set up her wonderful new bed and make mad passionate sex with Tina inside her soundproofed room until everything was in order. So Tuesday was spent cleaning up the whole place and setting up the furniture with James as her only helper because Sonja was summoned back to the estate and she didn’t dare ask her friends again for assistance for fear that those girls might end up destroying a few things and frustrate her even more. And although an eager Tina had offered to help, Bette refused and insisted that the blonde attend class for two important reasons: 1) she didn’t want her girlfriend to do hard work, and 2) she didn’t know if she could stay in one place with Tina without jumping her lovely ass – the sexual energy flowing between them made it hard to concentrate on finishing whatever task they were working on.

    2. i knew that was the reason for not living on the boat… anyway… loved this chapter… and also how james helped tina… and sonja… i hope chester and family are ok with all of the moving… i would hate for them to start chewing… lol… so glad bette gave tina her own key… but like the others i am also wondering what ken is going to say… maybe he needs a girl friend… this way he won’t be watching what bette and tina do all of the time… love this… PPS
