I woke the next morning and reluctantly got out of bed. I had really slept well. My first appointment wasn’t until 2 but I probably needed to catch up with Shane at some point before that. I put on some shorts and a t shirt and my running shoes before grabbing my iPod and went for a long run. It felt wonderful. After a restful sleep and waking to a beautiful morning, I again started to feel like myself. I ran for miles and with each mile I ran, my steps felt lighter rather than heavier. When I got to what I knew was five miles, I turned and headed back.
I sat on the beach enjoying the rhythmic tones of the water and caught my breath before going to take a shower. I wished I could bottle it up. Bottle up the feelings that I felt sitting there. I was at peace and felt I could accomplish anything. My solitude was interrupted and it took everything I had not to let my annoyance show as I turned to the person standing beside me.
“Hi there. Mind if I sit down,” she asked me.
“Well, actually I was just trying to get my thoughts together and wanted to be alone.”
“It’s no fun being alone,” she said as she sat down. “I’m Monica. Haven’t seen you here before.”
“No. I came to get away from some things and to get my thoughts together. I don’t mean to sound rude but I really just want to be alone.”
“Hey, maybe I can help.” I looked at her to see if she was some alien with a hearing problem. I don’t think what I said was too much to comprehend.
“Monica, I’m sure you are a nice person but I really just need to spend some time by myself.”
“That’s cool. Just thought you might want to talk.” She got up, dusted herself off causing all the sand she wiped from her ass to fly in my face and walked off.
I went back to my thoughts which were surprisingly not all Bette. After awhile, I got up and headed back to my room. I showered and dressed. I gathered my things, put them in the car and drove to front of the hotel to check out. I stopped at a gas station and filled up my tank as well as grabbed a cup of coffee. It was the worst coffee I had ever tasted. When I got on the road, I called Shane.

I like that Tina and Shane are friends it’a great twist to how they all become framily. Weli, we are set up for the conversation and I’m ready to hear it as soon as you are ready to post it. And I will try to be patient.
Love it. Tina is always obsessed by Bette’s behind. Don’t see the reason myself. Anyway, great chapter and the time is upon us to hear their talk and I can hardly wait for it.Pleasepost as soon as possible.

i also like the friendships that are forming… and its funny how both tina and shane know alice has a big mouth… and now the time has come for bette appointment… i thnk when bette leaves and they say goodbye… bette should pull tina in for a KISS… and to be continued when they both can continue their love story… loving this… PPS

Ooookay so it’ Wednesday in fanfic land…Bette gets an appointment with new therapist on Thursday…Look it’s Friday! Is that too soon for a date? Come on that’s like three weeks in fanfic time. LMAO.

Gosh, I’d all but forgotten about Jiffy Pop. I’m trying to decide whether Shane’s motives for warning Tina about Bette were altruistic or a little self serving due to how she feels about Tina. I love their friendship however…each of them have a close friend to rely on. You’re the best NAG…wonderful update…awaiting the next!

Yes in most if not all stories Alice continues with the big mouth. LOL I do like the Shane/Tina friendship. Looking forward to Bette reaction to “future possibilities” with Tina.

I was blown away by Shane’s sense of intuition. She nailed the problem – no wonder Tina avoided her most of the weekend. Although the information was less than positive about Bette, Tina is intelligent and will not allow her emotions to rule. Love the way you are handling the dialogue – it is really moving. Can’t wait for their final session! PPS

Well, I’m on the same page as Tina. I have to say that the Melvin-on-the-phone scene with JB’s white-stripey-pj-clad ass was a highlight of the series for me. Now, let’s get Bette moved on with Steve, and get the Bette & Tina show on the road!
So Tina is really struggling with this thing with Bette. Shane is so wrong about Bette not doing relationships. She did not do them until this one therapist entered her life. I have a feeling that Bette is willing to settle down once she and Tina are able to go out together.
