Once Bette had given all their details, handed over her credit card, quietly spoken to the concierge to confirm her request had been carried out, she walked over to Tina who was quietly sitting absent mindedly flicking through the latest Homes & Garden Magazine.
“Ready baby? Were all checked in, we can go up to our room now, theyve already taken our bags up.”
Tina looked up into the smiling face of her partner, she looked peaceful, her earlier creased brow had eased, her thoughtful look had diminished, she gave out a relaxed aura, Tina smiled in response, she hated seeing Bette in turmoil, and she knew that todays turmoil was solely down to her dislike statement from their earlier conversation, which was necessary, but even so, she had wished that she could of eased the pain it had inflicted upon the love of her life.
Bette held out her hand for Tina to take, their eyes met and they both smiled, they both understood that changes had occurred again today, small ones, big ones, did it even matter, as long as they continued to work in unison to grow together.
They silently walked into the empty lift, Bette pushed the button for their floor and stepped to the rear, leaning her back into the corner, she pulled Tina to her, turning her so that her back nestled tightly against Bettes front, Bette wound her arms around Tinas waist, pulling her back into her, she rested her chin on Tinas shoulder, close to her ear, breathing in the fresh smelling scent of her hair, her eyes rolling closed at the closeness, she nuzzled her nose into the back of Tinas ear, still smelling, her mouth open allowing the breaths to rest on Tinas skin.
Tina felt the intensity as soon as Bette offered her hand in the foyer, the silent intense look they shared, the slow walk they took to the lift, the thumb grazing her knuckle as they stood together awaiting the doors of the lift to gently slide open. Once they were inside the authoritative, but gentle way in which Bette had pulled her into her body and now the nose nestling in her hair, the breathing on her neck, her bodys automatic response to lean her head back, to give access for it to continue, and

This is a great fic by a brillant writer. LOVE the communication and the admittance and acknowledgement of fault by both parties, especially Betty, it shows her growth. This is so eloquently written.

I love how you can take simple words and turn them into this flowing story full of love. You have taken this couple from utter despair to the highest mountain and into the sea of delight. I have always loved Bette and Tina together and with the help of your story you have reminded me of the absolute love that a person can have for another. What ever seems to be thrown at them you have allowed them to work throught it and that seems to have brought them closer as a couple. IC and company should take lessons from your story telling. Then maybe they will treat Bette and Tina the way that most of us would love to see them.
Jo, as usual another fantastic chapter. If I remember correctly you left a comment on another author’s chapter calling her an ole slushy romantic. After this chapter I think that would accurately describe you also.

There are some chapters of a story that make your heart beat a little faster….there usually NC17s……this chapter just proves that it doesnt have to be NC anything…..to actually make your heart skip a few beats….no matter how many times you read it….Romance at its best!
