Previously
Tina reached her hand forward to introduce herself, “Hi Jill, Im Tina, Bettes partner.”
“Hi, nice to meet you” Jill replied.
“Mummy?” Emily interrupted.
“Yes munchkin?”
“Is partner when people love each other?” Emily asked innocently.
“Yes it is,” Jill bent down in front of Emily, “do you remember when we talked about how a man and a lady can love each other, and a man and a man can love each other and how two ladies can love each other”
Bette and Tina looked at one another, smiling at the positive way in which the description of all kinds of love was being explained to the child.
“I remember, two ladiesthats called Lebanons, right!”
The three women all laughed, at Emilys statement, Bette and Tina looked at one another smiling, as Jill spoke, “not quite sweetheart, but close!”
“Thats close enough Emily, but you can just call us Bette and Tina, OK!”
“Sure, youre both my friends now, right?”
Tina looked over at Bette and winked, “we sure are honey!”
Emily smiled at Tina, she had another new friend, “I think I have a book with a Tina in it too, Mummy, do I have a book with Tina in it?”
“Not sure Em, but you do have that little brown bear that you used to call Teeny!”
“Oh yeah! I forgot about her, I think I might cuddle Teeny when I read Oliver the Owl, that way I can have my two friends together, Elizabeth and Teeny,” Emily looked across at Tina, “can I call you Teeny?”
Tina laughed, “sure, I think I like that name!”
Tina glanced at Bette who had begun to sift sand with Emily, looking for shells, sensing the gaze of her partner Bette looked up at the sparkling eyes and was met with a smile, “you think we can find a mail order catalogue with one of these in?” she asked motioning toward Emily.
Jill looked at Tina and laughed, “you can borrow her for a weekend, that will soon change your mind, its non stop, I can assure you.”
“Shes very cute; shes a credit to you Jill!” Tina said.
“Thank you, you know thats the second time thats been said to me today,” she glanced at Bette who was chatting quietly to Emily.

Very romantic, Bette show me more Porter charm! lol…don’t know why, when I knew Emily’s dad is Henry. I sense some drama is coming. I hope he’s NOT the Henry! Please don’t make them use his sperm as they like Emily so much. I’m thinking too much so it’s time to bed then…lol, please continue.
This is a great fic by a brillant writer. LOVE the communication and the admittance and acknowledgement of fault by both parties, especially Betty, it shows her growth. This is so eloquently written.

I love how you can take simple words and turn them into this flowing story full of love. You have taken this couple from utter despair to the highest mountain and into the sea of delight. I have always loved Bette and Tina together and with the help of your story you have reminded me of the absolute love that a person can have for another. What ever seems to be thrown at them you have allowed them to work throught it and that seems to have brought them closer as a couple. IC and company should take lessons from your story telling. Then maybe they will treat Bette and Tina the way that most of us would love to see them.
Jo, as usual another fantastic chapter. If I remember correctly you left a comment on another author’s chapter calling her an ole slushy romantic. After this chapter I think that would accurately describe you also.

OMG…that was an amazing and wonderful chapter – I just love the Porter Power and Charm, she is so romantic, sweet and loving, when she wants to and luckily (for us) she wants to a lot with and for Tina :o)) I sure hope Emily and Jill will stick around, but NOT Henry!!!! Take care and thank you :o))

There are some chapters of a story that make your heart beat a little faster….there usually NC17s……this chapter just proves that it doesnt have to be NC anything…..to actually make your heart skip a few beats….no matter how many times you read it….Romance at its best!
