Turing her gaze towards the area she immediately spotted the reason for her friend playing it straight- Scott McKenzie- teammate and grade A asshole. What the fuck is he doing here, Dana thought more than a little ticked off?
Scott was the type of guy who thought he was God’s gift to women. Even if Dana was straight, she wouldn’t touch the arrogant prick with a ten foot pole. She had to put the jerk in his place more than once and loathed to have to deal with him tonight.
I just want to hangout and enjoy the party for once. I can’t even get that!
She turned her eyes back to Harrison and gave him a nod of her own letting him know she had seen the jerk.
She continued her walk to Shane and Lara and greeted the two with a small smile and said, “Hey,” as she sat on the coffee table so she were facing the two.
“Hey,” Shane greeted lifting her glass a little.
“Hey babe,” Lara said with a smile and started to lean forward only to stop when she noticed the look on here girlfriend’s face. In an almost exasperated tone, the redhead asked, “Who is it? Who’s here?”
“The asshole- Harrison pointed him out,” Dana replied leaning backing, using her arms behind her to brace herself.
That made Lara pause. Ninety-five percent of the time she thought Dana was absolutely ridiculous with all the precautions she took to hide her sexuality. But Scott- or the asshole as Dana always referred to him- was a different matter entirely. Ever since Dana had turned him down, not once but twice, he had been bothering her to no end.
It was this fact that caused Lara to just nod her head. Not that if it was some other teammate or someone else the brunette knew, that she would be comfortable with simply treating the redhead as her girlfriend- but Lara knew when to pick her battles. This wasn’t the time nor the place.
“You need a drink,” Shane said. “We’ve all been here at least an hour before you showed up and you have a lot of catching up to do.”

Yet another excellent chapter, anionayo! Loved Dana and Alice together at the tattoo parlor. You did a great job with their banter. I also love that Dana held Alice’s hand and paid for the tattoo. Very sweet. You really have built up that strong bond of friendship between them. The Wimbledon thing was so funny! Dana might just want to throw the last match and come in second. I think we should let akshunjack and HarukaFairbanks take care of Scott. He would never bother anyone again. He may never even be seen again. I am glad Lara understood the situation at the party and didn’t push it. The interaction between everyone at the party was done very well. I hope Alice finds out that Dana was instrumental in putting the party together. I am a little worried about Kim, too. I hope she doesn’t mess things up for Dana. Thanks for the great update to this amazing story!!

Like MaGoose, I also thought it was so sweet that D paid for the tattoo and coordinated the party for her birthday. This story gives “Danish in the making” a new meaning.
