“Really,” the blonde said gleefully.
“Sure, why not.”
“So when is this Wimbledon thing? Is it coming up,” Alice asked as Dana pulled into traffic?
Dana just smiled and said, “Let’s get you a double double and I’ll explain.”

“This has been an awesome birthday Dana. Thanks so much,” Alice said as they walked down the hall towards her and Shane’s apartment.
“No problem Al. You only turn 21 once right? I know you have to get ready to go out with Kim, I just want to grab that cd from Shane real quick,” the athlete replied fidgeting slightly.
Alice took out her keys from her purse and began to unlock the door. “Sure no problem. It’s only six. Kim is not supposed to…”
Alice was cut off by a loud chorus of, “SURPRISE!” right when she turned on the light of the apartment.
For her part the blonde gave out a yell of her own and practically toppled Dana over in an attempt to jump behind the brunette for protection.
After a half a second her surrounding sunk in to Alice’s mind and she smiled.
“Happy Birthday, babe,” Kim said walking up to Alice and giving her a lingering kiss on the lips while wrapping her up in a big hug.
When they broke apart, Kim kept an arm around the blonde’s waist as everyone came up to say hi to the birthday girl.
Dana began to make her way around the couple when Alice spotted her and gave her a smack in the arm.
“You knew and didn’t say a thing! You lied to me,” Alice exclaimed with a fake pout.
The brunette laughed, “It’s called keeping a secret Al. But I guess since you’ve never kept one you wouldn’t know.”
Alice’s response was to blow a raspberry at the athlete before getting pulled into a conversation with Kim and a couple of their friends showing off her new tattoo.
As Dana walked towards Shane and Lara, who were talking over on the couch, she quickly took stock of who was at the party. When she saw Harrison talking with some girl, she paused and gave him an odd look. With a nod, her teammate indicated that she take a look over by the kitchen.

Yet another excellent chapter, anionayo! Loved Dana and Alice together at the tattoo parlor. You did a great job with their banter. I also love that Dana held Alice’s hand and paid for the tattoo. Very sweet. You really have built up that strong bond of friendship between them. The Wimbledon thing was so funny! Dana might just want to throw the last match and come in second. I think we should let akshunjack and HarukaFairbanks take care of Scott. He would never bother anyone again. He may never even be seen again. I am glad Lara understood the situation at the party and didn’t push it. The interaction between everyone at the party was done very well. I hope Alice finds out that Dana was instrumental in putting the party together. I am a little worried about Kim, too. I hope she doesn’t mess things up for Dana. Thanks for the great update to this amazing story!!

Like MaGoose, I also thought it was so sweet that D paid for the tattoo and coordinated the party for her birthday. This story gives “Danish in the making” a new meaning. I like how you build up their friendship. anionaya, your story is getting better with each post. I echo 25justagirl and akshunjack.
