The blonde was looking down at her arm in awe, surprised that she actually had something she had always wanted but even more surprised that the time flew by so quickly. She tore her eyes away from her arm when she noticed that Dana moved to the seat that Jim had just vacated.
The athlete gently took Alice’s arm and bent down to inspect the ink. She looked up and gave Alice a huge smile which Alice returned.
“You did it! It looks great Al.”
“Thanks for coming with me, Dane.”
Dana simply shrugged and said, “That’s what friends are for.”
Jim then came in handing Alice a folder with information about what to properly care for her arm until all was healed.
“And if you don’t have any questions, you are all set to go,” the large man conclude.
Alice got out of her seat and said, “Nope we are all set. I’ll just pay the guy up front…”
“That’s already been taking care of,” Jim interrupted.
Tilting her head in question, Alice suddenly turned her attention to Dana.
For her part, the brunette looked down at her watch. “Wow look at the time. I’m starved. How about some In-n-Out, Al,” Dana questioned hurriedly, walking towards the entrance of the store?
Alice quickly caught up with the athlete right outside of the shop. “Wait right there Fairbanks. Don’t think you can distract me with In-n-Out. I just asked you to come and keep me company. You didn’t have to pay for the tattoo.”
Looking at the blonde, Dana gave a small shrug, “I know you didn’t Al. But it’s your birthday. It’s what you wanted.”
Alice just smiled, shaking her head, “You know what this means right? When you get your tattoo I get to buy it for you.”
They started to walk towards Dana’s car, and the athlete let out a laugh, “No way I am ever getting a tattoo!”
“Why? Chicken? The mighty Dana Fairbanks scared of a little needle,” Alice challenged playfully.
Sliding into the driver’s seat Dana said, “I’ll make you a deal. When I win Wimbledon, not only will I get a tattoo I will let you pick it out. But I get to pick the size and location.”

Yet another excellent chapter, anionayo! Loved Dana and Alice together at the tattoo parlor. You did a great job with their banter. I also love that Dana held Alice’s hand and paid for the tattoo. Very sweet. You really have built up that strong bond of friendship between them. The Wimbledon thing was so funny! Dana might just want to throw the last match and come in second. I think we should let akshunjack and HarukaFairbanks take care of Scott. He would never bother anyone again. He may never even be seen again. I am glad Lara understood the situation at the party and didn’t push it. The interaction between everyone at the party was done very well. I hope Alice finds out that Dana was instrumental in putting the party together. I am a little worried about Kim, too. I hope she doesn’t mess things up for Dana. Thanks for the great update to this amazing story!!

Like MaGoose, I also thought it was so sweet that D paid for the tattoo and coordinated the party for her birthday. This story gives “Danish in the making” a new meaning. I like how you build up their friendship. anionaya, your story is getting better with each post. I echo 25justagirl and akshunjack.
