“… I got a tattoo… got to spend the day with one of my best friends… I had a double double for lunch….my girlfriend throws me a surprise birthday party with all my favorite people in the world…”
At that statement, Tina looked like she was about to say something until Dana shot her a warning look. This went unnoticed by Alice who continued to ramble on, explaining how Dana said that she could pick out the tattoo the tennis player would get when she won Wimbledon.
Kim cut in saying, “Alice, it looks like Jeff is leaving. I’m going to say goodbye want to come with?”
“Sure.”
Once the two were out of ear shot, Tina asked, “Why does Alice think that Kim put this party together when you coordinated everything, Dana?”
The athlete simply shrugged, “Alice is happy. Who really cares who gets the credit? Kim was in on it and Shane got the drinks and the apartment ready… Lara helped with the food. At the end of the day it doesn’t really matter.”
Looking at her watch, Dana continued, “I have to go guys. I’m meeting Sam at the gym at six o’clock and it is already one. I’m going be dragging as it is.”
“That schedule you keep is going to kill you one day,” Shane said joking smile.
“It hasn’t yet,” she replied with a smile. “Ready beautiful,” Dana asked Lara?
Giving Dana a smile at the endearment, the chef nodded.
After saying goodnight to the group, Dana and Lara made their way to the front door stopping to say bye to Alice and Kim.
“You’re leaving too, Lara,” Kim asked?
“Yeah, Dana is going to give me a lift home,” Lara replied thinking it was rather stupid to have to tell half truths to the blonde because Kim didn’t know that Dana was gay. Why Dana didn’t trust Kim, Lara had no clue. Although, maybe it was a good thing that Kim didn’t know since her roommate was currently banging Dana’s teammate/antagonizer, the chef thought.
“Okay, thanks for coming you guys,” Kim said with a smile.
“Yeah, you’re the best,” Alice added hugging Lara and then Dana.
“You still need me to look over your history paper,” Alice asked?
“Yeah, is three o’clock still good,” Dana replied?
“You got it. See ya then Dane.”
“See ya then, Al.”

Yet another excellent chapter, anionayo! Loved Dana and Alice together at the tattoo parlor. You did a great job with their banter. I also love that Dana held Alice’s hand and paid for the tattoo. Very sweet. You really have built up that strong bond of friendship between them. The Wimbledon thing was so funny! Dana might just want to throw the last match and come in second. I think we should let akshunjack and HarukaFairbanks take care of Scott. He would never bother anyone again. He may never even be seen again. I am glad Lara understood the situation at the party and didn’t push it. The interaction between everyone at the party was done very well. I hope Alice finds out that Dana was instrumental in putting the party together. I am a little worried about Kim, too. I hope she doesn’t mess things up for Dana. Thanks for the great update to this amazing story!!

Like MaGoose, I also thought it was so sweet that D paid for the tattoo and coordinated the party for her birthday. This story gives “Danish in the making” a new meaning. I like how you build up their friendship. anionaya, your story is getting better with each post. I echo 25justagirl and akshunjack.
