    Trouble in Designer Suits Ch.34

She smiled then which currently was a shocking reminder of the pain she must be in
revealing the teeth missing following her attack

“How do you all make it seem so easy, that you all would give me a chance after what
I have done it amazes me, now that I sit and watch you all amaze me and I don’t
know how I will ever earn anything but I am willing to give it a shot. But can
I trouble you to roll me over to someone who might want to talk to me to get me
    started.

As I was chuckling and nodding my head at her request I was caused to jump by the
voices that came from behind where we were sat apparently our conversation had
    garnered an audience.

“How about you go coral your aunt Ruby before poor Connor’s head explodes and we
will roll Helena around a bit”

    ——————————————————Bette————————————————-

I had met Andy’s eyes across the room as Rachel had sat down next to Helena a
little intrigued as to what would transpire and a little glad that someone had
made the first move as to be honest I was at a loss and Andy seemed equally
unsure of how to proceed where Peabody Junior was concerned.

As I broke in on the conversation sending Rachel to Connor’s rescue I could see
that she and Helena were equally shocked at our offer. But off we went and it
seemed to work we walked around the room and introduced her to our family and
friends as though they had no idea who she was, a fresh start for all of us.

Perhaps today was the only day this would have worked, all of us so open and happy and
receptive and it will forever be the day in my mind when I met the Helena
Peabody that not long from then I would come to call friend and shortly after
    that sister.

After a while Shane picked up on wheel chair watch and as Andy and I made to head
outside Peggy slipped in between us taking an arm of each of us in hers
following us out of the patio door into the transformed garden.

“Thank you my beautiful girls, on a day that should have had no other consideration
than the party we are currently at you have managed to bring her in from the
cold. I shall never be able to thank you for all you have done and I would just
like to take this opportunity to make a request. For years I have watched you
both from a certain distance as you have lived your lives with a slight
recklessness that I love, but whatever happens now with Helena I can help you
have to let me help you, you cannot fight everything on your own.”
