    Bette and Tina talk

     

    Tina felt a pain like she had never felt in two years when Bette pulled her hand away.

     

    “What the hell have we done to each other ? “she whispered.

     

    “I don’t know — I’m bad for you Tina – I am truly sorry “

     

    Bette managed to get up and started to walk away from the woman that she loved — the woman she wanted to spend her life with. She was crying so much that she failed to see the corner of the table until she slammed her shin into it.

     

    “Ahh shit that fucking hurts “

     

    Tina leapt up and hurried to Bette – she put her arm around her and lead her back to where they had been sitting.

     

    “Still beating yourself up Bette ? “

    “I don’t want to mess up your life – you have what you want ”

     

    “I have what I settled for after you left me ” Tina replied.

     

    “I did what I thought I had to after hurting you “

     

    “And how much say did I get in that – did you talk to me — did you give me time to get over how bloody mad I was with you – no — as usual Bette Porter decided what was best for both of us and I had no fucking say in it as usual with you “

     

    Tina knew that it had come out harsher than she had intended it to be. She saw – more than anyone how vulnerable Bette was. Bette had lived every craving and nauseous moment of Tina’s pregnancy – the thought that maybe Bette was going through this alone hurt Tina.

     

    “I’m sorry — what I did was so bad “


    “Yes it was – and I am still mad with you – and I have all these emotions in my head — like why the hell are you pregnant and I’m not – but you and I cannot pretend that we do not have a past – almost eight years worth of history. I have so many questions for you and I have all these emotions “


    Bette smiled and looked at Tina.

    20. I am with AmandaMG, Tina needs to lean in a gently kiss Bette. With that kiss becoming longer and deeper showing not only all around them that they are in love, but to let Henry know that it is over between him and Tina. No words need to be spoken just actions. Yippee, this is getting good.

    37. Ally, AGain thank you for reposting chapter 4. To have it and the following one was a joy to behold and indugle in. I love the gentleness of this story. The path back to where you belong is often fraught with danger and the inteferences of others even if they are often well-intentioned. It looks like Bette and Tina are ready to reaquaint themselves with each other but Henry may have a thing to say ans do about it but I know that Alice, Kit and Shane will be there to nourish and nuture the budding romance and reunion of two lost souls. Wonderful, wonderful writing. Thank you for all of your marvelous melodrama. Your Loyal Fan.

    39. EXCELLENT and so beautifully done. Now it is time for Alice and her compadraes to spring into action–Mission (and you WILL accept it) to get B&T together in a weeks time by having them spend the maxium amount of time together. I am soooo glad that they both risked it all and really opened up to each other. Alice talk to Tina was PRICELESS. Henry it is all over with the exception of doing the dirty dishes, have some pride about yourself and accept it. Look for someone else to be your “Baby’s mama” LOL.
