The Gathering 01.86 – Little Known Fact pt 1 – Solitude Crush

“She’s not joking Faye Buckley slashed my tires and then held me, Tina, Amy Astin and Jo Wheaton at gun point.”  Lara pulled out a chair and promptly sat down, flabbergasted at this new turn of events.

“Amy Astin?”  Alice said dreamily and Dana punched her arm hard Alice grabbed her arm and winced Dana was still a bit angry at her lip lock with Gabby.  She’d forgiven her quickly enough, but Alice thought she’d put a mild strain on their relationship.  Dana wasn’t going to trust her anytime soon alone in the company of other attractive women.

“Alice could you please keep those raging hormones of yours in check for one instant?  My sister almost got killed last night!”  Kit blurted out, grabbing Bette‘s hand as Shane sauntered up to the table and plopped down on the chair.

“Killed, huh?  Was the ***** that grueling that you thought you’d died and gone to heaven?”  Shane asked, looking around the table, then her gaze settling on Bette.

“I’m going to have to tell this 100 times today….”  Bette said in a weary voice, and Dana just grabbed the paper and threw it across the table to Shane, who took it and cocked an eyebrow.

“God much easier that way.  I mean why say it when you can read it.”  Shane snapped the paper open and read the head line.

Head of CAC Held At Gunpoint By Outraged Activist.

“Holy ***** me man.”  Shane said, skimming the story quickly, glancing over to Bette who was nonchalantly sipping her coffee.

“Where is Tina?  Is she ok?”  Shane asked sitting up and blinking at Bette nodded; and took a deep breath.

“She went to talk to Marty; she was freaked out a bit by being shot at.”  Admitted Bette, she to was crazed at the fact that she could have been dead instead of sitting at the table talking about it.

“Shot at?!?”  Sam said coming from behind Bette and Bette wheeled around facing the young doctor.  Sam was wearing a set of scrubs, and carrying her motorcycle helmet.

“Who was shot at?  You?”  Sam asked, directing the question to Bette who nodded; pointing to the now folded paper on the table.  Sam tilted her head and read the headline.  “Are you ok?”  Sam asked her hand on Bette‘s shoulder and Bette put her hand on her’s, patting it.  Sam‘s eyes were troubled at the news.
