The Gathering 01.86 – Little Known Fact pt 1 – Solitude Crush

“Are you sure you don’t want me to call anyone?  You’re sure you are ok on your own?  Sometimes the shock hits you afterwards.”  She asked for the 3rd time, her voice even and soothing.  Tina was shaking and Bette was cold, her flesh felt tight on her body as she shivered from the cold, more than likely delayed shock.

“Thank you Jo, you saved our lives tonight and I don’t know what else to say but thank you.”  Tina said, throwing her arms around Jo; Jo cleared her throat and gently dislodged Tina from around her neck and smiled her lopsided grin.

“All part of the job ma’am.”  Jo shyly turned and walked back to her car, Amy was in the driver’s seat and she slid quickly into the passenger’s seat.  She extended her hand out the window and waved leaving Bette and Tina at their door step.

“Is it me, or is that woman just…”  Bette stammered; unable to figure out what it was she wanted to say.  Jo and Amy left a strange, yet tantalizing taste in her mouth.

“Amazing?”  Tina offered and Bette unlocked the door; pulling Tina inside and then nodding, her face not quite finding that the right word.

“That is one word I think I might use the word I was thinking about is unreal, perhaps surreal.”  Tina watched Bette, who was rubbing her arms.  Tina went to her, wrapping her arms around Bette.  Taking in a long deep breath and finally starting to process what had happened in the last few hours.

“I was so scared I was going to lose you yet again…”  Bette said, the tears that she’d been holding back finally coming to the surface and Tina’s face showed the pain of that statement, kissing Bette softly.  She tasked the tears as Bette unraveled, Tina held her and gently led her to the bedroom.

                “Babe, I’m not going anywhere.”

                The Planet

“Bette darling what happened last night?”  Just as Bette was about to recount the tale Dana and Alice came running into the Planet, Alice was waving the morning paper around.  Dana was hot on her heels.  Both were wearing old clothes and seemed to have just rolled out of bed.

    1. Hell knowing Jenny, she was told & most likely forgot. Marina probably left her a number & where to reach her or Marina was fed up w/ Jenny only thinking about self.
