The Gathering 01.86 – Little Known Fact pt 1 – Solitude Crush

“Yeah, we are fine.  Thank god for your friend Jo.”  Sam sat down between Shane and Bette; Shane kissing Sam‘s cheek.

“Jo?”  Sam said with an edge to her voice getting suddenly uncomfortable at the mention of her friend.

“We met up with her and Amy at the restaurant and we had a wonderful dinner.  We head out to my car and the tires are slashed.  Jo knew something was going on; out from the shadows come Faye Buckley with a gun.”  Bette stated, taking a long deep breath and letting it out slowly.

“Talk about an oxymoron.”  Lara whispered; and they nodded agreeing.

                “Faye got off a shot…”

“The ***** let off a round!”  Kit said, grabbing Bette‘s hand once again; and Kit was shaking.  When were their lives going to stop coming into harms way.

“She grazed Jo…”  Sam shot up out of her chair at the new tid bit of information and excused herself she searched her pockets and found she hadn’t brought her cell phone.  She then turned and asked Shane for her cell and walked to the deserted patio and began dialing the number and talking.

“Is Sam ok?”  Lara asked Shane quietly seeing something that she’d never seen in Sam before panic, and Shane closed her mouth.  She shrugged and didn’t know.

“So Jo got shot?  Oh my god, I really want to interview that woman now.  What happened then?”  Alice asked; leaning across the table, coaxing Bette.

“Amy knocked us to the ground and Faye shot at us, missed thank god and Jo…”  Bette stopped, closing her eyes and remembered Jo literally lifting Faye off the ground.  Adrenaline, that was it, had to be the logical explanations.

“Um and Jo disarmed her and we spent most of the night giving our statements to the police.  It was harrowing, I don’t know what I would have done if I’d lost Tina.”  Admitted Bette and the women at the table were silent, Shane watched Sam.

“Tell me you didn’t need to go to the hospital?  Tell me that no one got a sample of that tainted blood of yours Jo?  Please tell me?”  Sam said, her hands visible shaking as she held Shane‘s phone.  Her grey eyes darted left and right, hoping no one heard her talking.

    1. Hell knowing Jenny, she was told & most likely forgot. Marina probably left her a number & where to reach her or Marina was fed up w/ Jenny only thinking about self.
