The Gathering 01.86 – Little Known Fact pt 1 – Solitude Crush

“Where is Tina?”  Asked Sam, and she was told she was with Marty.  Sam sat down and was quiet; the conversation was now about what would happen to Faye, and what the charges were.

“She’ll be charged with attempted assault of a federal officer, that’s for sure.”  Lara put in, and they all gave her a look; wondering how she knew that.  “I read a lot of Tami Hoag novels.”  Lara explained, tucking her hair behind her ear and giving them a shy grin.  Jayden giggled, pulling Lara into a soft kiss.

“Federal prison is what that ***** needs, messing with my kid sister like that.  I need to say thank you to this FBI woman next time she is in town.”  Kit added; then the table went silent.

A long moment passed and Jenny came into the Planet, tearful and waving what looked like a letter.  She went over to the table, her hand wiping away the tears as they flowed freely from her blue eyes.

“Who knew she was leaving?”  She demanded throwing the letter onto the table.  The collective of the table looked at her, wondering what she was talking about.

“Marina left this morning, and she wrote this!  She didn’t say good bye, she just left!”  Jenny said grabbing the envelope and ripping a single sheet of light blue paper out and Kit grabbed it out of her hand.

“Left?”  Kit read the short letter; then read it again.

“She’s gone, to Crete to take care of her dying mother…”  Kit said softly; and Lara took the letter.  There was no way that Marina would just leave, without as much as a word to them.  Would she?

“She left?”  Lara said in a whisper, and Alice stood up, grabbing Jenny into a hug as the young woman descended into a fit of tears and sobs.

“Jenny I’m sure she’ll be back…”  Bette said, looking around the table and wondering suddenly to herself, if she intended to come back, would she have merely left Jenny with a letter in the middle of the night?

    Solitude Crush

You and I together in our lives
Sacred ties that would never fray
Now I sit here and tell myself lies
    And die inside more everyday

All alone delusions they haunt me
Where’s that love I used to know
It dies inside so very deep within
    Homeless searching for a soul

I’ve sat and have watched in wonder
As the colors fade and turn to gray
I’ve seen love but what does it mean
Why does it always seem to drift away

I had watched our love grow deep
So deep in defiance of everyone
We let them take us and we let them break us
How the damage has been done

I have become addicted to the drug
To the drug of love you no longer feel
The pain from all the things that we said
Wishing emotion to become cold as steel

Why does no one seem to understand
That it’s simply love I need
It’s so hard to keep your faith alive
When no one else seems to believe

How long I had waited, always wanting
Longed for this dream to come true
So fast, from no where, it approached me
    Now I can’t believe we’re through

    Time seems to have frozen
But still the mind can’t be fooled
As each day passes I discover
Our destiny just can’t be rule

Through tears I try to gaze out at fate
But still it seems I’ll be forever blind

For all that I had ever wanted
Is now in the past, long left behind

If I had the will to stand & stare
In the mirror would I see
Just the tears of a fallen hero
Looking back with a face like me

If I were to stand and scream
    Would anybody care or hear
Will I always dream paradise without you
And cry those lonely silent tears

    A thousand bloody roses bloom
With each, a thorn that cuts and bleeds our soul
Wishing all the sweet love in heaven
Would wrap us so tight and console

So now the night and the demons come
I’ll dream again you can be mine
If there’s a God he’ll hold me tight
For tonight I know I’ll dream a lie

    1. Hell knowing Jenny, she was told & most likely forgot. Marina probably left her a number & where to reach her or Marina was fed up w/ Jenny only thinking about self.
