Bette: When will I know the
results?
Dr. Harris: Right to the
point I see. I’m expecting the aspiration results to come in anywhere between 5-10
days. I know that seems like a long time, but it usually takes 2-4 weeks. The
biopsy sample takes longer to analyze. The results typically take 3 weeks to
come in. The aspiration results will
give us a good indication why your initial blood test results came back the way
they did. We’ll be able to examine the
number of mature and immature cells present and how they’re reproducing.
Bette: Soso you should know
what’s wrong with me then?
Dr. Harris: Yes, the results
should let us know. (pauses) Ok, let me get these samples up to the lab. You sit tight and I’ll have one of my
students come and get you when it’s time to leave. We’ll call you to schedule
an appointment for a consultation when we receive the results.
Bette: Ok. (pauses) Thanks.
Dr. Harris: Take it easy the
next couple of days. I know that you’re
going to be anxious from waiting, but try not to let it get to you.
Bette: I’ll try. (pauses)
I’ll try.

(Present)
Kit: Baby girl?
Bette: Hmm, what?
Kit looks over at Bette in
concern.
Kit: I’ve been calling your
name and you’ve just been staring into space. Are you ok?
Bette: Yeah. I’veI was just
thinking.
Kit: About?
Bette: Nothing important.
Kit: So are you going to tell
me?
Bette (confused) Tell you
what?
Kit: About your lunch meeting
with Tina. You haven’t said a word about it all week. And I didn’t want to pry
into your personal lifewell not any more than I usually do. (pauses) But when
I came out of the office to see you gone and her sitting therewell I didn’t know what to think.
Bette: (sighs) Yeah, well I
was just as surprised as you were. Tina and I were talking. Finally talking.
She told me things about her that I never knew.
In some ways it was like talking to a stranger. Inever realized the
things she gave up to give ‘us’ a chance.
We were really starting to connectand then
“Hello, Darling”
Bette and Tina looked up in surprise. Helena was
walking towards their table, carrying a rather large bouquet of flowers. Bette
frowned as Tina quickly pulled their joined hands apart and rested hers
nervously in her lap, as though she were caught doing something wrong. Tina,
momentarily glad for the opportunity to reorganize her thoughts, suddenly
realized that
arrival brought about the potential for a far worse scenario with Bette.

Bette can’t have cancer. She has had enough trouble in her life. the last year. Just putting up with Helena is like living in hell. We know that something is wrong with Bette, but make it simple to cure.. One of the best on the site right now.

TBC ? Most definitely!! And please post asap, you can´t leave us hanging in suspense – aching to find out what´s wrong with Bette. No matter what it´s my hope that the gang and Tina will get her through it. Because withour our friends and family we´re are nothing. We need their love, affection and support to manage the turmoil we meet in our lives today. So please let Tina drop Helacious and help Bette through.

tibette my computer just crash on me,so i didnt get the chance to comment on your last chapter. i am so happy that you’re not writing bette they way i.c.wrote her. she took almost all of the thing i like most about her away. her strengh,her playful side and turn her into something pitiful.i hope you dont do this our bette in your story. i like another writer on this board [LASTKID] you and she both have the same writing style. tibette dont worry about people not reading this story because its one of the best written story on this board. they have a neww way of keeping count of the readers now. if i was to read this chapter 2 or even 6 times, it would still only count as 1 time. it seem if you go over at least 200 her story has been read by plenty of people. if bette do or dont have cancer, just please let her talk to tina about it. ooo i forgot to say ‘great chapter.
