“Yeah,” Alice says, pulling her shades off. “But, do you have to do it today?”

“Yes. I don’t want Carmen fucking crashing the wedding. Molly’s had to deal with enough of my shit. I don’t want Carmen tainting today for her.”

“Alright,” Alice says, raising her eyebrows. “I hope you know what you’re getting yourself into.”

“Me too,” Shane says, as she takes a deep breath. She opens the door and steps out onto the pavement.

As Shane is about to close the door, Alice leans onto the passenger seat and says, “If you’re not out in a half an hour, I’m coming in after you.”

“I’ll be fine, Al,” Shane says, closing the door.

Shane takes a deep breath as she opens the door to the office of PM Entertainment. Seated at the receptionist desk was a petite blonde, who was chatting away on her cell phone. Taking a few steps towards the desk, Shane says, “Excuse me. I’m looking for Carmen. Is she in?”

Into her cell phone, the petite blonde says, “Hang on a sec.” She lifts her head to look at Shane and says, “May I ask who you are?”

“Shane McCutcheon,” Shane replies, removing her sunglasses.

Smiling, the receptionist replies, “Oh. Carmen’s been expecting you.” Pointing down the hall, she continues, “Third door on your right.”

“Thanks,” Shane says, as she steps away.

She makes her way down the hallway and stops in front of Carmen’s office door. Laying her hand on the knob, she takes a deep breath and turns it.

“Carmen?” she calls out, as she pokes her head inside the door.

“I had a feeling I’d be seeing you today,” Carmen says, looking up from her desk.

Taking a step into Carmen’s office, Shane says, “We need to talk.”

Carmen smirks, gets up from her chair, and slinks towards Shane. Letting her eyes travel the entire of length of Shane’s body, she says, “You want to talk?”

“Yeah, I think we need to,” Shane replies, somewhat nervously.

Circling Shane, like a lion circles its prey, Carmen says, “What about?”

Grabbing Carmen’s shoulders as she walks in front of her, Shane says, “Stop it, Carmen.”

“Stop what?” she asks, suggestively. She reaches to the back of her dress, unzips it and lets it fall to the ground. Stepping out of it, towards Shane, she places a hand on her chest. “Stop this?”
