    Part 3

    Tina stared back at the beautiful soft brown eyes. She could not love her wife anymore at this very instant.
    "Bahiya and Etana…" Tina choked out still under the spell of Bette’s gaze, pointing to the smaller cub she was holding first and then to the one which was doing his best to climb up and over Bette’s head to see what was behind her.
    Bette smiled, grappling with the four legged wriggling fur ball,  "Those are perfect names."
    "I know," Tina smiled back, "I chose them with you in mind, beautiful and strong."
    "Thank you and I love you,"  Bette gave as her reply.  She stood up, gathering Etana before placing him gently on Tina’s lap. "I love you so very much," she repeated once again before placing a long soft kiss on Tina’s mouth. Her long soft brown hair fell forward as she did so, covering the two little cubs on Tina’s lap and causing them to sneeze in unison.
    "Bless you!’ the two women laughed.
    "I have to go now," Bette hinted, not really wanting to part, "I need to check in with Augustine and then go and see to Kipepeo. She did not go browsing with the rest of the herd this morning… so I need to know what’s up."
    Tina frowned remembering with fondness the little orphaned cow, whose rescue she had been involved in. 
    Bette noticed the worry washing over Tina’s face. "I’m sure she will be alright, she is strong now.." she soothed, "Enjoy your walk and when you’re done, I want to see those two in the surgery to get checked out."
    The vet blew the trio a kiss before disappearing.
    Tina sighed as she watched her wife walk away. Then she looked back down at the two cubs propped up on their hind legs, front paws resting on her chest. It was as if they were asking what Bette’s words meant.
    "Uh ..Oh… Looks like you two are in for your first visit to the vet..can’t guarantee that it won’t involve an injection or two!" she somewhat felt compelled to explain, firmly believing at the same time the two little faces who were looking at her expectantly winced at the word ‘injection’.

    13. Great update. Believe it or not google did not give the translation. I found it on MSN. I don’t know what the Mpenzi means but, the rest of it translates to “the laughter of a child brightens the house.” In my comments of last chapter, I said, Tina needs her own babies. This was a fantastic chapter, as all your writings have, this one showed the very depths of their love for each other and what their love could mean for a child in their lives. Loved it. More please! Thanks so much for sharing.

    17. Ah, yes, it is time for Bette and Tina to move into the next phase of their lives, Tina is ready to be a momma… That one was easy to figure out. I love this story and the deep love that these two women share with one another. I love the way you write and this story is one of my favorites. Thank you for creating this sequel.     21. Thanks so much for this chapter. The cubs are absolutely adorable and Tina is so sweet with them.I hope Augustine takes Bette’s advise and slows down a bit so that she doesn’t wear herself out. She’s a wonderful surrogate mother.
