Out of Closet (B&T time-travel romance), Ch. 36

Alice rolled her eyes again, “I don’t want to hear about your crazy love life…wait, what do you mean your bedroom hasn’t seen any action? Were you dead all that time?”

“Well, there was no action there at all I guess, except the one time after Katie’s wedding when I kissed Christina for the first time. Remember, Alice? You and I talked after the reception and you advised me to talk to Christina in the morning.”

“Yes, I remember. You were really a nervous wreck, Porter,” Alice was all ears to get an insight on Bette’s dirty little secret.

“Yes, that I was. I couldn’t sleep all night. I kept replying that kiss in my head and I was getting really…” Bette paused, unsure if she wanted to share it.

    “Wet?” Alice asked casually.

    “No…”

    “Aroused?” Alice asked again.

“No, Alice, you keep guessing wrong.”

    “Well, what then?”

“I’m curious too,” Tina laughed, enjoying Bette’s openness and ease with which she was finally talking about some of her feelings for Christina.

“Well, just don’t laugh,” Bette said shyly, “I was feeling really happy, and I just began…well…I began jumping up and down on my bed, bouncing like a little kid. Imagine, a 26-years old lady jumping on her bed because she was kissed by a beautiful woman.”

“I can imagine it and I think it’s so sexy,” Tina said with a smile, kissing Bette gently, “I want you to show it to me tonight, babe,” she whispered in Bette’s ear, nibbling on it at the same time.

“What? You disappointed me, Porter,” Alice exclaimed, “Jumping on your bed? At least tell me that you pleased yourself after that useless exercise.”

“No, I just went back to sleep, dreaming about Christina,” Bette replied, looking at Tina, realizing that she might find this little bit of information somewhat unsettling.

“Yuk. Tina, how do you find that sexy? You guys are soooo boring. Enjoy your bed-jumping, I’m off to get me some camouflage for my mission,” Alice said, shaking her head and leaving Bette and Tina alone.

“Tee, are we boring? Am I boring?” Bette asked softly.

“No baby, absolutely not. You’re the most exciting, beautiful, charming and gorgeous lady in all of Los Angeles. How can you be boring?”

    1. This chapter was so sweet, I’m waiting for the shoe to drop…anytime an author gives me this much B&T happiness, there has got to be some drama following it soon. I’m thinking it won’t be much longer until Bette finds out that Christina did not die…then….dum..da.dum.dum…duuuuum! Keep writing, can’t wait for your next installment.

    2. In the conversation on page one there wasn’t even a thought from Tina or Alice about telling Bette about Christina. Now that’s bad. True before sex Tina. I guess Tina is hoping that “it’s” so good that Bette will easily forgive her for not telling her sooner.
