    Chapter 30, Part 3: Love is all that I can give to you, love is more than just a game for two (Shane and Alice talk to Tina and Bette…will anyone listen?)

     

    Place: Los Angeles, CA – Alice’s apartment

    Year: Nov. 26, 2005 – Saturday, 5 am

     

    “And this is when you fell asleep,” Alice chuckled. “Well, more like you passed out.”

     

    “It was a brilliant speech…thanks, Alice,” Bette smiled, “I guess I’d better go home, I don’t want Tina to assume the worst…I’m just afraid of what I might find there…or who I might find there.”

     

    “You’ll just find Tina there. I talked to Shane while you were asleep. Tina didn’t leave with Helena. She just went home. She’s waiting for you.”

     

    “Really?” Bette exclaimed happily.

     

    “Really…and Bette, remember what I had told you? Talk to Tina. She loves you and she will understand.”

     

    “Yes, please…let’s go,” Bette nodded and Alice took her back to Tina’s house. Bette gave Alice a warm hug before going inside, “Thanks for everything, Alice. You are the greatest friend a girl from 1885 could have.”

     

    “I’m the greatest friend any girl could have,” Alice responded with a smile, getting back into her car and leaving Bette on the front steps.

     

    Place: Los Angeles, CA – Tina’s house

    Year: Nov. 26, 2005 – Saturday, 5 am

     

    Bette went to the garden first and picked some of Tina’s favorite flowers before heading inside. The house was dark and quiet and Bette went straight to Tina’s bedroom, cautiously opening the door. Tina was asleep on Bette’s side of the bed. She was hugging Bette’s pillow and was fully clothed, all curled up like a lost puppy.

     

    Bette noticed puffiness and redness around Tina’s eyes, her tear-stained cheeks, and disheveled damp hair. Bette froze in the middle of their bedroom and thought with pain, ‘This is exactly as I saw her in my dream. I wish I had stopped her before she went and danced with Helena and talked to her. Then none of this would have happened.’

     

    She slowly lowered her body onto the bed and softly caressed Tina’s cheek. Tina stirred and looked at Bette sleepily. “I brought you something,” Bette said, holding the flowers behind her back.

     

    “Is it a bribe?” Tina attempted to joke. She was still half asleep and tried to decide if this was a dream or reality.

    1. Wow…I wasn’t expectibng this update tonight…thank you B&TF! This was really good..Bette and Tina explaining their feeling for each other. But…Bette still doesn’t know Christina is alive in 1885…Tina needs to tell her otherwise I’m thinking it will be a source of drama somewhere down the road. Oh wait…maybe it’s supposed to be. Anyway, I love this story…it’s fun, it’s imaginative and you are telling it well. Can’t wait for your next update!

My internet connection keeps disappearing so if you get more than one comment from me, pick the one you like the best. :-) I’m so happy to have gotten another chapter so soon, and I’m so happy, both for Bette and Tina and for myself, that those alternative realities were just dreams. Yikes!! Altenate versions of this story would have been great but they would have had me so enthralled that I would have needed to keep notes. I am so happy that Bete felt that she could finally tell Tina that she loved her. I am very much looking forward to the next chapter because I have great faith that it will be wonderful, loving and, of course, sexy

For a moment, I thought that Bette would wake up again, but this time on Friday morning, and would re-live the night at Milk, but this time making it right, sending Candace to hell, and stopping Tina from dancing with Helena… But this is even better, and besides, it is true that sometimes the most painful ordeals lead to the happiest outcomes… Thanks for a beautiful (and very looked forward to) chapter, and PPS! K ;)
